What creative opportunities can you see in this project? How could you challenge
yourself creatively in this project? You can refer to your previous experience here.
In this project I will try and challenge myself by trying out different techniques that I haven’t
already tried in previous projects, I will also try to get my work into a professional standard by
linking my designed product with the modern day as if it were to be used in reality and creating
my product in top quality. I will also be challenging myself by using Photoshop throughout this
project and not doing anything manually. The reason that I would like to challenge myself with
Photoshop as I struggle to do work
What technical opportunities for development are available in this project? What
technical challenges could you set yourself? You can refer to your previous experience
here.
The two technical opportunities in this project are photography and Photoshop. For photography
I would like to learn new skills on a DSLR camera and improve on the skills that I already have
experience in. In Photoshop I would like to lean all new skill and improve and develop the skills
that I already know, I would also like to challenge myself by basing all my work on Photoshop as
usually during the designing stages I feel more comfortable dong parts of the designing stages
manually and then scanning them into Photoshop to do further developments.
How could the skills you are using and developing here be useful in a professional
context? Consider the requirements for different job roles.
One of the skills that would be useful for future references is Photoshop as I believe in the
modern day media/graphic/photography jobs are all based highly on Photoshop so the more
experience that you have in Photoshop the quicker you may be in the production of the job which
will leave the employers/clients happy. If I were to have a job in Photography whether this were
to be in magazine or a job in photography it would be important to have high amount of
knowledge about the settings and how to use a camera as it is important that as a photographer
you are have to be able to know what is the appropriate setting that will be able to capture the
picture at its highest quality.
What opportunities for designing for different media does this project give you? Which
final product type interests you the most and why?
This project is able to offer me more experience in the designing industry as it will be my first
time designing product such as web banners, cans and will help me improve my designing skill
for posters. The project is also going to be able to give me more knowledge on how to work on a
professional standard and learn how a small detail could draw attention to the product and
change its quality. The final project type that interests me the most is the web banners as it seems
challenging to me as you have such small space to have to create such a big impact and create
something high enough quality to be able to put on websites but yet something that will be able
to present the product well enough.
