amount of damage to human body.

health (1)
● 25 rems causes a little change in the blood.
● About 100 rems causes some sight of radiation
sickness.
For example, nausea, vomiting, headache,
some loss of white blood cells.
4. Effects of radiation and Human
health (2)
● 300 rems causes the serious loss of white
blood cells.
● Half of all people who are exposed in 450 rems
die.
● All people who are exposed in more 800 rems
die.
5. Hiroshima and Nagasaki
● A lot of people in Hiroshima or Nagasaki is
killed by explosion of nuclear bomb.

● People have died since explosion of nuclear
bomb by effects of radiation.
6. Three Mile Island
● In 1979, the coolant of three mile island nuclear
plants is discharged outside.
● In this accident, some radiation did not give out
in the atmosphere, and there were no people
who injured.
7. Chernobyl
● In 1986, A accident of explosion happened at
Chernobyl nuclear plants.
● About 16000 people died by radiation of this
accident.
8. Medical Treatment

● However, a lot of people are saved by blood
transfusions and bone-marrow transplants
