●The is a definite article. We use before a singular noun
after the first mention. The makes a noun specific-It is
known and understood by the speaker and the listener.
eg: She wrote it in the computer's address book. (both the
speaker and the listener know which book they are referring
to)
● With superlatives:
eg: She's the most beautiful girl in the world

●Before musical instruments: the piano, the saxo.
●Before the names of theatres, cinemas, museums,
