HRM Objectives & Functions

    The primary objectives of HRM is to ensure
    the availability of a competent and willing
    workforce to an organization. Beyond this,
    there are other objectives, too. Specifically,
    HRM objectives are four fold Viz., Societal,
    Organizational, Functional and Personal.

• The societal objectives of HRM seek to ensure
    that     the   organization   becomes   socially
    responsive       while    the    Organizational
    Objectives makes sure that HRM is not a
    standalone department, but rather a means to
    assist the organization with its primary
    objectives.

    Functional objectives remind the HRM that it
    has only functional value and should not
    become too expensive at the cost of the
    organization      it   serves   while   personal
    objectives assist employees in achieving their
    personal goals.
