1. Earth: From crust to core Earth is the third planet from the Sun. Earth is the largest of the terrestrial planets in the Solar System in diameter, mass and density. This is only the planet which has life in it.

2. Nobody has journeyed to the center of the Earth to see what it is like. However, scientists using seismic waves have developed models showing what the Earth is made of and the thickness of the different layers. This is discussed in the next slide…
