      d. keep the suction tube sterile for suctioning Endotracheal tube
      e. the duration of suctioning must be 20-25 seconds
      f. sterile normal saline or water is use for rinsing
      g. when patient is oxygenated; decrease the flow of oxygen
          during suctioning
