When I was a kid I spent my summer vacations piloting gliders just like this one

The believer's fear is reverence of God. (Hebrews 12:28-29). The fear of the Lord is a consuming fire a Passion that burns in your heart. What does it mean to have the fear of The Lord?

- Last week we watched this little movie about the Earth and the sky. We learned that the earth turns in circles (ellipses) around the sun? Well the earth doesn’t really turn around the sun. For all practical purposes, what you were taught wasn’t entirely wrong. The earth does in fact orbit the sun. Strictly speaking however, it doesn’t. The sun is moving trough the Universe. If you see things in 2D the earth is rotating in near circles around the sun but if you see this in 3D the solar system is also moving very quickly and the movement of our planet is more like a spiral that is accompanying the sun’s movement trough space in rotating spiral movement. In other words the earth and the sky have a motion when seen from the earth but this motion is completely different from outside of our solar system. We learned that our life’s journey is a SPIRAL of events that are triggered by our Passion and that passion is the key element to lead us to our Purpose. Passion will connect you to the heart of God and is the key to unlock your destiny. We all have God given gifts that will equip and enable us to achieve our purpose. We are destined to be successful but we either don't know it or we have a tendency to forget it.

- When you have a special gift people will be curious about it. Curiosity triggers questions and sometimes admiration. We all have gifts but sometimes we don't use them or let them sleep. Understanding the natural aspect of this is important, because natural things in the fallen world often shadow activities which are of greater relevance and precision in the spiritual world.

- If the natural world needs different professions and trades to run efficiently, how much more so does the spiritual world, or the church, need them? God has gifted us all uniquely also in the spiritual realm, whether we are aware of it or not. Each of us is called to do something for Him, and this fact is explicitly stated in Scripture:
- We have unique natural gifts as well as spiritual gifts. How do I know this? The Bible tells us so! How to articulate your gifts and your passion? We should be able to articulate who we are. like a personal mission statement. When you have clarity in this process you will make better choices in life and it will not be so hard to make decisions regarding your future.
- Action is key to multiply our gifts - Is it easier to steer a car when it is parked tightly up against the curb or while it is in motion? A car is far easier to turn while it is motion. The same is true when serving God or doing any other thing. Trade implies exchange for the purpose of gaining advantage. Requires Strategy . The more you have the more you get. We see that the talent that remained unused wasn’t wasted but entrusted to the one who was faithful in much. This talks about Accountability . If you want to discover what your God given talents are and how you should use them for the Lord? Then get busy serving the Lord in some capacity. In doing so, you will find out where your true talents lie and ultimately where you can best serve the Lord. Keep in mind, a day is coming when we will all stand before our almighty God and He will want to know how you have served Him with the talents, time, money and resources entrusted to you.
- When eagles are flying long distances, especially on migration, they often soar on thermals until they reach a great altitude, and then use the gliding/soaring method of flying to cover the longest distance using the smallest amount of energy.
- When I was a kid I spent my summer vacations piloting gliders. These are engine free airplanes that can soar and fly for long periods of time using thermal techniques. My favorite part of flying is thermalling; in fact, thermalling may be my favorite thing to do in life. There’s nothing like hooking a sharp-edged, positive ripper of a thermal and riding it upward for a couple of miles. This is what eagles do also. You need to feel that the glider caught a climb try to find the center of the upward spiral and rotate inside the heat as you take the climb and the glider will be lifted to a higher altitude.
- Anything we need from the lord is found on a higher level. God says that His ways are higher than our ways. It all starts with an attitude of great respect for God and for His Word.
- If you fear the name of the Lord (not being afraid) you will find healing as you soar to higher places. The fear of the Lord operates through Passion.

Nothing happens to the second child but a mild reprehension and no gifts. Even if you are a prodigal God has gifts that will put you on the pathway to a life of victory as you learn how to respect God and use your passion to soar with wings like eagles.
