It is a Yogic process called DHYANA

What is Stress?
Life is an interaction between your mind (internal
world) and the external world. Both are constantly
trying to influence each other.

When the internal world is stronger, you are in peace,
there is harmony.

When the external world is stronger i.e overpowers the
mind. Stress is generated. When stress crosses the
limit, there is strain.

Normal quota of the brain is20% of the blood in
circulation.
Under stress brain needs extra blood which it takes
from the stomach and spine muscles.
Thus stomach and spine get less blood resulting in
certain disorders.

Stomach     -      acidity/ulcer
Spine       -      spondilytis
Blood       -      high sugar/pressure
Heart       -      rate fluctuates/diseases

Unfortunately, migraine/headache/asthma/psychic
problems like psychosis and neurosis nervous
break down etc., occur.

   It is said that the root cause of 80% of
             all illness is the mind
