Bilateral kidneys are enlarged with multiple cysts ranging in size from pinhead to 2 cm. Imaging of the kidneys shows marked enlargement on both sides with focal displacement of collecting structures. Selective arteriography of one kidney reveals innumerable cysts throughout, and the opposite kidney had an identical appearance, consistent with a diagnosis of adult polycystic kidney disease.
