  1. Flexibility- Students need to be free in how to complete his or her assignment. Their assignment should be done in way that best fits his or her learning style. Cooperative Learning- Dividing the students into groups and allowing them to work together. During cooperative learning the students will be able to share ideas with each other. Students will get the chance to improve social and cognitive skills. Safe Environment- Make sure students are supplied with everything that he or she will need to complete the assignment. Students must have the understanding from the teacher that he or she is comfortable with what it is the group or individual is doing. Change routines- Teachers should change how they are going to have students complete their assignments. They would not be completing the same thing at the same time each and everyday. New Stimuli- Add music in the background while the students are completing their work or why the teacher is teaching in the front of the class.
  2. Questioning- Students would be asked questions that require higher order thinking. Using Bloom’s Taxonomy would be great. Classroom Debates- Students would be assigned teams and in that team each person will have a different responsibility for answering a particular topic. Then the entire class would discuss which side was correct and why. Written Assignments- Students can be given a question to answer. Students will be required to write a short paper answering the question and explaining why their answer is correct. CATS- The teacher can assign various assessments used to evaluate the students progress in learning the material. To help the students think critical the teacher can have the students to complete analogies or minute papers. Case Studies/Discussions- Teacher provides the students with a case without giving them the conclusion. Students will have to develop a conclusion and discuss why they choose that conclusion.
