Purpose:
This assessment provides you with an opportunity to conduct independent research, critically analyses and
compares and contrast art works from different cultural settings and across arts forms, and communicate
understanding in written and/or practical form.
Assessment Conditions:
You will be given two lessons (1 double, 1 single) of class time to work on your spread sheet. You may work on
this for homework however you should have more than enough class time to complete it then.
Task:
For this assignment you will need to submit a word processed document containing the following information:
1. An explanation of the movement.
2. A description and explanation of the intention behind the works typical of the movement.
3. Five (5) images of at least three (3) works by different artists, each image must have the name of
artists and title of the work. You will then place these works on ‘the wall’. Please use your first name
and last initial when posting. (http://www.wallwisher.com/wall/unley-y10-art)
4. A minimum twenty-five (25) word personal response or commentary on the form, content and nature
of the artworks.
a. What does it stand for/represent.
b. Explain the work (in your own words).
c. Special circumstances (about the artist and or work).
5. You are required to select one of your artists and find suitable biographical information about
him/her, including a photo.
6. A small example (8cm x 10cm) create or copied by you, scanned and added into the spreadsheet as
part of your personal response.
7. Include a bibliography of where you got both your information and images.
