13. We Are Value Created Explained
• Dr. Morris Massey defined the generations as, “What you are is
where you were when”
• We are defined by our values, and a values is based on Culture, Age,
Gender Roles, and Ethnicity.
• From the age of 1 – 6 our values are being imprinting on us
• From the age of 7 – 12 we select are values from modeling.
– At the age of 10, 90% of our value system is set
• From age of 13 – 20+ we select are values from socialization.
– At age 20 are 100% values are locked in for life
• The only thing that can alter our values is a S.E.E. or a Significant
Emotional Event, whether it be personal or global
• There are 9 major impactors that affect our value system: 1) family,
2) friends, 3) religion, 4) technology, 5) school, 6) media-advertising,
7) music, 8) income, & 9) geography
