Carefully diagnosing PTSD and the type of trauma the person has experienced is crucial in determining what type of treatment can be offered, and for how long it should be applied, depending on the severity of the individual’s case. With caring, support, and empathy, therapists, family and friends of people with PTSD can get the help they need in a safe and nurturing environment that will be conducive and tailored to their needs.
