Steps to form past simple with regular verbs
Rule : To form the past simple of regular verbs we add –ed to the roof
of the verb
• If the verb ends in “Y”
Vowel + “y” add -ed consonant + “y” take out “y” and add “ied”
Ex: play……played cry…….cried
enjoy…..enjoyed study….studied
• If the verb ends in “e” only add -d
Ex: decide….decided.

• If the verb ends in another letter only add “ed”
