Lingue Hello everyone,
EN - IT we're looking for partners, especially from north and west of Europe.
We're 6 enthusiastic primary schools from Turkey, Italy, Norway, Poland, Romania and Ireland and our project is almost
ready.
The title? Let a smile be your umbrella!
Laughter is the best medicine because it makes people feel good.
Laughter is a kind of language all people have and know. It is universal. It is for everyone
POSITIVE EMOTIONS GENERATE LEARNING!.
We would like to work on a variety of activities, such as drama, story-telling, writing, paintings and drawings, photograph,
puppet show, singing etc., in order to introduce our cultural values not only to each school partner involved, but also to
wider European community.

The name of our school is Juan del Rio Ayala, who was a famous local writer. It is located in Santa Brígida, a small village at 13 kms from
the capital of the island, Las Palmas de Gran Canaria. In 1976-1977 the school started working with 22 classes distributed in two floors
and connected by stairs. The school has a laboratory, head master office, gym, lunch room, kitchen, machine room, toilets and the
security guard house. As the school grew up, it was necessary to build eight more classes to get enough space.
From 1996-1997 is a Pre-Primary and Primary center with a total of 560 students. The teachers are 31; including 4 teachers specialized in
foreign languages. An important part of our educative community is integrated by the Parents Association which plays an important
role of communication between the teachers and the family.
