 Born in Syracuse, New York on June 25,1929.
 At 6 years old, he moved to Germany and had a hard time
adjusting.
 Always dreamed of building a bridge from Germany to America.
 After Carle graduated from a very nice school in Stuttgart, in
1952, Carle took his $40 and moved to New York.

 An author, Bill Martin Jr. got ahold of Carle to illustrate his books.
