ELECTRICAL PARAMETERS IN INDUSTRIES IS MONITORING THROUGH PC USING
WIRELESS DATA TRANSFER
ABSTRACT
Data acquisition system is most important in industry and consumer applications. In
many applications, human beings have been replaced by unmanned devices that will acquire data
and relay the data back to the base. There are data-acquisition and control devices that will be a
substitute for a supervisor in a multisite job operation.
Current, voltage, temperature and speed data of the parameter are very important for a
drive system and performance of an parameter is directly affected by these fundamental
quantities. However, during continuous process of production it becomes dangerous and risky
operation to control the machines. In such cases, remote control and monitoring techniques
become a considerable solution to eliminate these hazards. Hence, wireless data communication
is used in various industries.
Wireless data communication is used in various industries, such as Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, 3G
because it is capable of high data rate transmission. These devices use system resources a lot and
are proportional to transmission speed. IEEE has developed 802.15.4 that is Zigbee.
The basic structure of Zigbee based parameter monitoring system consists of
microcontroller board and Zigbee device, one set of microcontroller board and Zigbee device are
near to machine and acts as transmitter for the other microcontroller and Zigbee device which is
near the computer where the parameters are displayed on computer using software application. In
addition to Zigbee Device various other sensors are used for measuring different parameters.
Wireless sensor network (WSN) system are autonomous and operate unattended also adaptive to
the environment.
EXISTIN SYSTEM
Several methods have been presented for operation,
Monitoring, and detecting mechanical and electrical defects in three-phase induction
motors.
2. EMBEDDED SYSTEM WIRELESS
PLC based fault protection system.
In some cases, motor parameters have been used to display the electrical and SCEECS
2014 mechanical performance of the motor through wires on a PC.
Monitoring system fully based on the wire communication, it is to complex.
DISADVANTAGES
The microcontroller based protection system is described for electrical parameters, but
these have not been displayed on a screen.
In PLC system which massages the type of faults on the display, but data can’t be display
and stored as well as the system becomes costly.
The wired communication is more expensive or impossible due to physical conditions
PROPOSED SYSTEM
The proposed system, All parameters (Like voltages, currents, temperature &
speed) values are transferred to the controlling computer and by using GUI all these parameter
values are displayed on the monitor graphically and stored into excel file for a long time
monitoring.
ADVANTAGES
Less costly, provides higher accuracy as well as safe and gives visual environment.
