[CU Estratégia Educativa]
Students enter higher education with a variety of
digital fluency and technology experience.
The education strategic pillar of innovation and
digital fluency builds upon existing knowledge
and exposes students to the latest learning
technologies available to the university group.
Further development of the IT infrastructure and
an investment in the capabilities and innovative
technologies, will support the increase in
blended and distance learning, plus provide
support to our collaborative partners.
7. Digital Leaders Project

What is it?
The students recruited as Digital Leaders will work together in the design, planning and delivery of activities aimed
at developing peers’ digital competences. As a community, they will need to demonstrate leadership and organise,
with the support of staff members, a number of initiatives throughout the academic year 2016-17.
Why use it?
Based on peer-to-peer learning, this programme enables students to adapt their learning outside the classroom to
their coursework. Skills learnt will be shared as a group and benefit one another as a team. Students who become
Digital Leaders also receive an ‘Open Badge’ accreditation and a grant at the end of the year (subject to
satisfactory performance).
