Responsible for ordering instruments for the student as well as gloves, masks, and cover gowns. Mentor students who may need additional assistance to be successful in the program by tutoring or arranging for a tutor as well as supervising additional clinical experiences as needed. Teach classes in the basic science of dental hygiene as well as instrumentation.<br />Richland Northeast High School: Richland School District 2<br />Sept. 2001- April 2006<br />Director of the Tutoring and Testing Center<br />Opened the Tutoring and Testing Center establishing it as a model program for the school district. Oversaw peer tutors as well as students in the EDUC 400 class from the University of South Carolina who are assigned to the Center or who volunteer their time. Sought volunteer peer tutors as needed. Assisted students in need of academic help by matching them with an appropriate tutor and monitoring their progress. Aided new students who are assigned to the Center by contacting their teachers to access what work needs to be done. Maintained and administered make-up tests for faculty members.
