Alec Simonson holds a Bachelor of Science degree (with honors) and a Master of Science degree from Florida Atlantic University and is currently working towards a Doctor of Dental Medicine degree, which is expected to be conferred in 2025. Alec participated in the UFCD Office of Research Summer Program in 2021, and presented his research project, “Warm Temperature Effects on Transient Receptor Potential Cation Channel, Subfamily M, Member 8” at the 26th Hinman Student Research Symposium in October of the same year. Alec has been invited by professors and colleagues to act as a tutor and teaching assistant for a variety of classes that form part of the dental school curriculum.
