There’s a gay rugby team, a LGBT choir and a LGBT walking group. Belfast has two gay nightclubs, three gay bars and a good selection of gay-friendly mixed pubs. Kremlin, Mynt, Union Street and Dubarry’s are well established gay venues all located in the city’s Cathedral Quarter. Traditionally, the John Hewitt, Muriel’s, the Duke of York, Auntie Annies and Katy Daly’s are gay-friendly pubs with alternative crowds.Top TipsBUDDY UP –Make sure someone knows where you are, agree to travel home together or arrange suitable transport.GET A TAXI –Walking home alone at 3am aint a good idea! Keep a fiver hidden in your wallet for the end of the night.KNOW YOUR LIMITS –Keep hydrated by drinking water and soft drinks.
