5. tours / newsletter
• Tours hyperlink takes you further down the page, to advertise
and let fans now where they are next heading, with pink
hyperlinks and tabs within this area, and an option to track
where they are, or to notify the viewer when they are next
coming. a skin is also used behind this text, a faint grey zig-zag.
• newsletter is another feature where users can sign up for by
entering their email, and get ‘sneak peaks’ and news about
upcoming releases, and ‘exciting’ stuff, which makes the user want
to sign up.
6. Music
• the music hyperlink takes
us to a separate page with
their most recent, self-
titled album, available to
be purchased in three
separate formats.

7. store
• ON THE STORE HYPERLINK, THERES TWO
OPTIONS, FOR AUSTRALIA/NEW ZEALAND
AND FOR THE REST OF THE WORLD, EASY
TO NAVIGATE.
• the FIRST store link takes the user to
a completely different WEBsite, the
artists use their store in conjunction
with “mammoth stores”. the skin
(main image) behind the site is the same
as on their actual site, and the image
remains there as you scroll down
through the list of items available to
be purchased.
9. homepage
• changes theme depending on its most recent album, in this case, it’s
“a head full of dreams”. the website is very animated, with various
sketches and drawings that move within their little area, and
also the logo of the album in the centre of the webpage has a
colour wheel that spins around within the logo, and when you
hover your cursor over it, a hyperlink appears with the option
to purchase the album.
• the site uses cookies to remember the data you have viewed to
remember it when you next enter the site.
• another cute addition is the moons in the top right hand corner,
which change colour depending on what time of day it is in your
part of the world.
10. tabs
• the tabs are featured down the side of the
site, and each heading slightly brightens when
your cursor hovers over it to show it is
selected.
• each icon is unique and features the colours
of the rainbow to link into the colourful
animated and positive theme of the album.
• along the bottom of the website is also
each of the social media platforms, and
each takes to a link. each is also a different
colour of the rainbow.
11. news
• i particularly enjoy the news tab, because of
how easy it is to navigate through. it has
multiple pages, that you can flick through
older and newer news.
• what is very useful though, is its side tabs. the
search box brings up a giant search box taking
over the whole page asking you to type in your
search, and it brings up a list of key words.
• or you can navigate through month and year
with the arrows.
12. COldplay map
zoom in and select a marker,
tells you more information on
concerts played in that area, a
timeline of their events.

you can scroll through their
entire timeline, jump through eras
or go to years, and also able to
filter through categories down
the side.
15. homepage
• the site doesn’t initially take you to the homepage, it advertises her
new album “honeymoon”, and in the bottom right hand corner,
saying “enter site”.
• In the background of the website, the music video for “high by the
beach”, her newest video from her newest album. this promotes
users to be hooked in by the video/song and be persuaded to
purchase the album.
• on top of the video playing, you also get 4 different platform
hyperlinks in which you can purchase the album.
• down the right hand side, lana follows her blue, red and white
patriotic theme with a scroll bar (in red and white).
• cookies are used in this website.
16. tabs
• lana del rey has always very
much about ‘america’, especially
in the 60’s era, so very vintage. the
colours are often of the flag,
red, blue, and white, as seen on
the top of the website in the tab
area.
• lana’s name in red and stands
out, with her typical font, and
the smaller hyperlinks of all the
places that the user can be taken
to in the site. the link turns red
when the cursor hovers over it.
• on the top right hand
corner are links to her
social media sites, all in the
same blue, and when the
cursor hovers over the
icon, it turns the same red as
lana’s logo. the green
spotify follow logo is the
only logo that isn’t blue,
and stands out, being more
important.
17. news
• you can either scroll down past the main video, or click the news
tab that will take you to that place on the page. there are 8 news
articles featured of the latest date.
• when your cursor hovers over an article/photo, the title of the
article reverses colour from white to red, and the date from red
to white, as displayed in the first news article below.
• when you click on the article, it takes you to another page, where a
message board/comment section can be found to connect to other
fans and express your opinions.

19. music / gallery / videos
• as seen by the previous slide,
her page is very systematic
and follows a theme. every
photo and link is square
(save for the videos), and her
videos and galleries have
her font in white over the
top that turn red when
hovered over.
• when you click on an image
in the gallery, you enter
another viewing mode, easier
to scroll through, and
theres an option to enter it
into full screen mode.
