This document provides instructions for logging work experience using to-dos on a digital badge platform. It outlines how to create a work experience badge, add to-dos such as recording employer details and hours, writing a reflective blog, and uploading a photo. It then switches to the student view and shows how students can access and complete these to-dos by providing the requested information and materials to ultimately submit the badge for review.

LOGGING WORK EXPERIENCE USING TO DOS

2. We’re going to set up a work experience badge as a member of staff.
Log in and click “Create Badge”

3. This will give us the badge form screen. When creating a work
experience badge, be certain to select the “Work Experience” badge
type

4. Once we’ve created our badge, we’re going to add some to dos. Click on
the “Manage To Dos” button

5. Click “Create To Do”

6. The first to do will be to get the students to record details of all the
employers they have had work experience with, and ensure this totals
over 30 hours

7. You can see our To Do has been created when we click “Save”

8. We’ll add another to do to get the students to write a blog reflecting on
their skills.

9. We’ll add a final to do to get the students to upload a photo of
themselves on work experience

10. Going back to our To Do dashboard, I’ll now click on “Set badge to a
tag” and select the group of students I wish to assign this activity

11. I’ll select the tag I wish to assign the task to. The students will then
receive a notification they have a new task to complete

12. ******Switching to student view******

13. We’re now logged in as a student/ I’m going to click on “My Badges”

14. You can see our “Work Experience in Health & Social Care” in the top
left. Clicking on this activates the badge.

15. We can see our To Dos. I’ll click on the first one to complete

16. I’ll add employer information, as well as the number of hours

17. Clicking save, you can see the To Do is complete. I’ll click on the next
To Do

18. And write my blog, tagging in the skills

19. I’ll click on the photo upload to complete my final To Do

20. Upload my photo

21. Give it a brief title and caption and then submit

22. Once my To Dos are complete, I can then submit the badge for marking

23. The badge submission will be reviewed by the Kloodle team
