Argumentative Essay On Anxiety
"Worry never robs tomorrow of its sorrow, it only saps today of its joy." (www.healthy place.com)
Many people have trouble accomplishing what they want to do in life because of health issues. A
main health issue people suffer from is anxiety. There are different types of anxiety disorders you
can have. Each one of them hold you back from doing what you want to succeed in life and may
even cause you to make bad choices.
Anxiety is losing yourself from reality and being disconnected from the present moment, other
people, and yourself. It can keep you from doing things you want to accomplish in life. Achieving
your goals is tough enough, but if you suffer from anxiety it becomes even more difficult. I was
spending every day worried about how...show more content...
After talking about how anxiety can keep you from accomplishing life goals and how its a big
health issue, here are the different types of anxiety. Some people can say all they have is anxiety
but they all dont have the same disorder. There are many different types you can have. There is
generalized anxiety, phobias, social anxiety, obsessive compulsive, and panic disorder.
Anxiety – part of the body's natural reaction to stress – can even be helpful at times, making you
more alert and ready for action. But anxiety disorders differ from normal feelings of anxiousness.
When feelings of fear or nervousness become excessive, difficult to control, or interfere with daily
life, it's called an anxiety disorder. (www.everydayhealth.com) . This evidence relates to the types
of anxiety because it is telling how anxiety can make you feel and act.
Some people may say that anxiety isn't the main cause of people not wanting to accomplish
things or why they have bad health issues. They say it could also be depression or how they are
living their life outside of the public. That may be the cause but I personally have an anxiety
disorder and it is keeping me from doing thing I always talk about doing but of course I never end up
doing it because of my disorder. It causes problems with your mind and body

Argumentative Essay On Creativity
The Creativity Epidemic Most would agree that the technological advances today have caused this
generation to become crippled in their creativity. The lack of face–to–face communication has
severely damaged this generations ability to separate text–speech from formal speeches. Being born
in a generation were technology is only at it's peak, it's hard to separate yourself from the tech–savvy
world. As stated in the article The Creativity Crisis by Po Bronson and Ashley Merryman the
accepted definition of creativity is production of something original and useful, and that's what's
reflected in the tests. There is never one right answer. To be creative requires divergent thinking
(generating many unique ideas) and then convergent thinking (combining those ideas into the best
result). When most think of technology you only see the advances made, the achievements fulfilled
and the key factor it plays in our society today, for example as in The Limits to Creativity in
Education: Dilemmas for the Educator It argues that the notion of creativity may be value– and
culture–specific and that this poses the so–called liberal educator with various dilemmas of principle
and pedagogy, which are explored (Anna Craft 1). In other words, technology is a blessing seeing
all the doors its opened for us in the short amount of time its been here. But it's also a curse. In
retrospect others might argue that technology helps open the door to a child's imagination. As stated
in The Pros and Cons of Technology by Amanda Ronan on January 16, 2017; Technology gives
children the ability to learn in ways their parents and grandparents never had. Today's learners have
immediate access to answers and research. Yet, that immediate access is changing the way students
think about work and how they feel emotionally (Amanda Ronan). This significant emotional change
is centered around the deprivation on other social outlets. The youth of today's social and
educational status is complete centered around where they rank in the chain of technological
coherency. Seeing how tablets and computers are replacing textbooks due to everything being
encrypted into software anyone that hasn't evolved is sure to be left behind in a stone age of their
own.

Age Limit Persuasive Essay
Many states have increased the age at which teens can begins to drive. In our society teens wait
for their license. In our society parents worry about their children on the road. Age limit should
remain the same because one needs to get to their job, one need to get to school, and one is
responsible taking care of their own. When students get their first job they need to get around that
is why they need their licence. My friend just got her first job and she did not have her licence, so
her mom had to take her every day. Some walk to their jobs and others can not walk to their job it
is too far. Other need to get to their job to make money to pay for their phone bill. In addition to
getting to their jobs, they need to get to school. This

Argumentative Essay In College
As an international student, I needed to take both the TOEFL and SAT in order to apply for
universities in the United States. The writing parts of these two tests both involve argumentative
essays. However, I had no prior experience of writing argumentative essays. Back in middle school, I
was always dealing with narratives, which mainly focus on the experience of people and the
development of events. In contrast, argumentative writing is very different. Its way of expression is
to speak of truth and to directly express personal perspectives. In order to write good argumentative,
I had to learn from the very beginning. Fortunately, my school offered courses on argumentative
essay writing. I took part in that course and found it to be the mostly

Argumentative Essay Quotes
Cabute, Jeanette Anne H.
BSIE–HE 4A
Quotation:
1."Nobody can go back and start a new beginning, but anyone can start today and make a new
ending." –Maria Robinson
Explanation: Our lives are full of ups and downs. Often we get so caught up with the downs in our
lives that we fall into depression. We feel that everything in life is falling apart. You regret the
choices you've made in the past and feel that you have failed in life. Understand that you cannot go
back in time and undo choices you've made but that you can stop yourself from repeating the past by
making smarter decisions so that you can have a better future.
Reaction: Yes, our life is full of up and downs. We also cannot change the past, but we can make
better things or choices...show more content...
If we try new things we're going to make a few mistakes but we are learning from that mistake. If
you don't make any mistakes, you're in a rut and not trying anything new. Mistakes are part of our
lives, we cannot change it, and we just have to take the risk. Nothing is impossible if we try new
things and nothing will lose if you try right.
4."The heart has its reasons which reason knows not." –Blaise Pascal
Explanation: The heart, the organ capable of storing love can also reason. Its reasoning makes all
the sense in the world to the heart and to the heart's owner when the owner first hears it. It's the
reasoning that makes you fall in love at first sight. It's the reasoning that somehow makes it so hard
to let somebody go even though you have no logical reason to want that person to stay.
Reaction: The quote means that you have to listen to your heart. Just like in love, you just only
knew that you love that person but you don't know why. We fall in love in a mutual weirdness and
called it love.
5."When love is not madness it is not love." –Pedro CalderГіn de la Barca
Explanation: The actual quote is when love is not madness, it is not love, and it is by Pedro
Calderon. Love in its self is madness. Love brings to life so many different emotions that it is like a

Argumentative Essay On Water Pollution
In recent times, a popular issue that sparks much controversy amongst the population is Pollution.
Since the Industrial Revolution, pollution has been rapidly increasing, whether it be air pollution or
soil pollution, the effects are prevalent. From the Great Barrier Reef slowly dying, to the polar ice
caps melting to climate change, pollution has been much more noticeable than in prior times.
Although, it is clear that pollution is causing great issues for our environment, many fail to
acknowledge the issue and or simply overlook the issues, especially if they do not notice how these
issues affect them personally. These effects on our environment actually impact the human body and
can affect different systems within the body such as the respiratory, reproductive orimmune system.
An issue that deserves recognition would be that of the affects of water pollution and access to clean
water on the immune system. Water is an essential factor for the survival of human beings. As a
matter of fact, life can occur on Earth because of water. Although, waster is an essential to life,
there are many in have little to no access to clean water. Water is necessary because it can help
nutrients travel within the body as well as filter out the kidneys. If one was to drink polluted water,
then they are exposing their body's systems to harmful bacteria that can harm the different systems
such as the respiratory, immune and nerve system. Exposure to water pollution and lack of access to

Argument Essay On World Hunger
Education is a very powerful weapon, one that isn't available to many however if it were, we could
solve many issues within the world. The biggest and most fundamental problem which can be seen
globally is, world hunger. The sad reality is that this is an issue and one that not many are talking
about. In his article Frederic Seebohm proclaims that the world bank estimates "that there are now
one billion absolute poor in the world" (Seebohm 5). He continues to define "absolute poor" as
"those whose condition of life is so degraded by disease, illiteracy, malnutrition and squalor as to
deny its victims basic human necessities" (4). The fact that there are so many hungry people in the
world today is mind–boggling when you think about it. We are well into the 21st century. We now
have the ability to communicate instantaneously with people all over the world. The collected
knowledge of humanity, is literally at our fingertips via smartphones in our hands. Now some may
assume that world hunger is still a grave issue simply because there is not enough food to feed
everyone. However recently scientists who have studied world hunger, have found that the world
produces more than enough food to feed everyone on the planet. The main cause of worldwide
hunger is poverty. As R. C. Pickett mentions the " the world has at present 1.5 billion hectares of
arable land that remains uncultivated"(31). The problem isn't that there isn't enough land, the issue
remains with the coordination of food production. Millions of people around the world are simply
too poor to buy food. They also lack the monetary resources to grow their own food, such as the
means to harvest, process, and store food. The interaction of domestic animals within the cropping
systems needs to be intensively revaluated. A solution that Pickett suggests includes "governments
and businesses interacting to provide a favorable price and availability structure of the necessary
inputs for adequate production, and to supply needed economical processing, storage, transport, and
utilization systems" (32). His solution is to aim more government intervention as he believes that
much more food could be produced at least in certain areas but is not, simply because there is no

Argumentative Essay On English Class
What I am about to do is inform you on how to survive the ferocious English 1302 course to make
life a bit easier on you. I mean, you're at the edge of your seat dying with loads of work, starving
like a dying child, living off of pennies and the only thing that is keeping you from collapsing is
your Starbucks drink that is filled with four shots of espresso, right? Well, by the time you get to the
end of this letter, you'll thank me later for it.
When you enter your English class, you will come across many assignments. They happen to be your
annotated bibliography and your researched argument essay, or in other words RAE. The purpose of
the bibliography is to critique sources and gather enough data for you essay. It includes citations, a
summary of your topic and personal thoughts of the sources you chose. The RAE is a persuasive
essay where you attempt to create an argument that is supported with the information you gathered
in your annotated bibliography. In my RAE, I argued that children can recuperate after their parents'
separation. Its purpose was to demonstrate that if parents were to come together and realize that

I learned that by annotating a certain part of the reading, it helped increase my understanding. Not
only that but it helped me not miss a single bit of important information. Writing notes in the
margins of the text was really helpful because it was a summary of the entire paragraph and
whenever I would look back at my notes, it reminded me of what I read. Also, circling words I
didn't know was very accommodating because again, it helped me understand the concept a bit
more. Underlining words that seem important to you is a big tip I suggest because you are able to
use that information when you are talking about your source. You can expand that information by
linking it to another similar source. Therefore, it is important to annotate. It'll take up extra time but
it will be worth

Argumentative Essay On Stress And Depression
It's so common for people to conflate stress and anxiety that the two terms are often considered
synonyms for one another. Even so, experts say that these are actually not the same thing, and the
differences are, perhaps, best enumerated in the panel discussion held at the Enloe Facebook Live
event hosted Thursday, "Keep Holiday Stress at Bay." Health professionals unpacked the differences
between anxiety, stress and depression. Additionally, new studies suggest that stress is able to
reprogram cells and that certain kinds of anxiety can be born of genetic predisposition.
Debbie Strukan, an Enloe health professional and nurse manager, hosted a 45–minute talk with Patty
Principi, an occupational therapist and also an Enloe health professional. "There's a difference
between [anxiety, stress and depression] and we'll break that down in this event," Strukan explained
in advance of the event when talking about the discussion topic. Enloe's coordinator of
communications and media, Christina Chavira spoke to the fact that this kind of misunderstanding
regarding mental health can be remedied with increased awareness, which is what the live event was
all about.
"Mental health is among the top three health issues for Butte County, according to feedback we
gather from the community, publicly available data and inpatient hospital data. Countywide,
substance abuse and mental health are a top area of focus. The Facebook live event is one helpful
tool in this area because it

Teenagers are Misunderstood Essay
The age that I have chosen to study for this essay is teenagers. The reason for this is because so
many remarkable things happen during the teenage years and these things vary from culture to
culture. To be a teenager is to be in a time of fluctuation and more often than not in western society,
a time of rebellion. There are certain rituals that take place during the teens such as socializing with
friends in a place other than school, more responsibilities around the house and less juvenile
relationships with members of the opposite sex. Biologically teenagers change dramatically, with
girls usually starting their periods and maturing into a phase where their bodies get ready to have
children whereas boys develop facial hair, their voices...show more content...
After the 1900's reformers, educators, and legislators began to separate teens from adults and
children. The legal system created Juvenile courts. State and federal governments provided
legislation to state the minimum age requirements for sex, marriage, school attendance, and work.
They later changed it for voting, driving, and drinking alcohol. These were often very inconsistent;
some legislation further divided teens by gender. Girls, for example, could marry younger than boys,
but could not legally consent to sexual activity until later. The dramatic rise in high school
attendance was the single most important factor in creating teenage culture. Over one hundred years
later, in 2009, teenagers are impossible to avoid. There are more teenagers than ever before and their
cultural presence is utterly indisputable. Many sub–cultures exist within this phase such as Chavs,
Emo's and Goths. They exist not only as students but as highly regarded consumers, and are also
widely looked to as trendsetters in fashion, music, and film. The media has unforgivably preyed on
teenagers. With more advertising focused on grabbing the attention of these young people, the
competition is so fierce that they resort to highly absurd adverts and slogans to have a chance of
having a part this multi–million pound empire. Due to the way that teenage culture has evolved we
are now in a state of turmoil where the lines

Argumentative Essay: Should Guns Be Illegal?
Should guns be illegal?
People say guns kill people, people kill people!
Kids see guns and try to play with them. They think their adult toys. Every kid thinks it's cool to
play with guns. Gun violence costs billions of dollars. If you do not use your gun, your gun is
unnecessary. Parents all over the world demand action to stop having so many kids die each year
because of gun accidents."The lives of American children are precious, they matter. Legislators need
to stand up and say, regardless of the efforts of the gun lobby to protect their profits, we are going to
protect our children," Shannon Watts said.

day to cover a cost of gun related...show more content...
Most people like to use guns for any type of defense or hunting. Hunting is considered a sport, so
people buy guns for hunting. In hunting you need a license to own a gun. A lot of people own
illegal guns or they don't have a license for a gun some people don't use them for hunting, this is
why guns can be very dangerous.
Guns should be illegal because kids play with guns and end up shooting themselves. Gun
violence can also be very expensive. Parents are also trying to address this issue because every
parent loves their child and they shouldn't take the risk of having a gun in the house, it's not
protecting anyone it's just causing a bigger problem if kids find a gun in their house. What do you
think would happen if a kid found a loaded gun how would you feel if a family member or someone
you knew was injured by a loaded gun?
I also took a pole in my class to see what people think and everyone but three people said yes. The
other three were confused and asked questions. One of the kids asked "Would they be banned all
over the world?"asked Aiden Abiuso. My answer is "No because it would only be banned for people
who are not doing service". I also think this request should be

In order to have a good argumentative essay, there are a few important standards of critical
thinking that is needed to be found in the essay such as the clearness, accuracy, importance or

was not persuasive enough; even though from the introduction of the argumentative essay

introduction includes too much of the emotional appeals, such as when it wrote " Day after day

Argumentative Essay: Why Are Cars So Appealing?
Comfortably In First Place What is it about cars that makes them so appealing? Is it the way the
metal covers the body, evoking different line structures? Is it the pure speed they are possible of?
Whatever it may be, Microsoft and Turn 10 Studios set out over ten years ago to find the answers.
Unfortunately for them, the genre (Racing Simulation) was already crowned king by Sony's Gran
Turismo franchise. Gran Turismo had created a legacy, a fan base that has lasted several
generations of consoles and several iterations of the franchise namesake. Now, with their sixth
iteration in the franchise, Turn 10's Forza Motorsport 6 is truly something incredible and worthy of

Each car, regardless of branding, drives remarkably different than the next. In a next–generation
console experience, you would expect a Ford to drive much different than a BMW or a Ferrari,
but what's even more impressive is the fact they all remain fun, in their own way. A Ford Fiesta ST
powering through Daytona 500 is a quirky experience. It's high revving motor meets the challenge
alongside other roiled out hot hatchbacks. The speed feels great and the handling feels nimble, that
is until you hop into a pricier car. One would expect a M4 to drive much differently than a Fiesta

glistening in the sun, gliding effortlessly through corners before blistering away in straight–aways.

Argumentative Essay On Climate Change
CLIMATE CHANGE
Global Warming, much of what does or does not happen forty years from now rests on our actions or
inactions taken between now and then. The crucial question is whether we should pour all our
resources into mitigation – reducing our carbon emissions. According to scientists who study the
climate there are other environmental problems; "we now face a global crises in land use and
agriculture that could undermine the health, security, and sustainability of our civilization".
Rather than worry too much about emissions, we should accept the world is going to get warmer
anyway and adapt to global warming by building better flood defenses and developing drought
resistant crops.
We cannot dispute that automobiles, factories, and power plants, displace an unprecedented twenty
tons of carbon monoxide – per person – per year. There needs to be a reduction in emissions, yet we
cannot focus on this aspect of global warming alone. There are many indicators that climatic change
is influencing the frequency and intensity of natural catastrophes. If scientific global climate models
are accurate, the present problems will be magnified in the near future.
Already scientists have observed that more than 75% of the recent economic losses are caused by
natural hazards which can be attributed to wind storms, floods, droughts and other climate related
hazards. In the year 2008, the U.S. state of Iowa was on the front pages of newspapers all around
the world.

Argumentative Essay About Drug Abuse
Drug abuse is bad because it spoils people's lives, increases drug access, and has serious
consequences and effects on places the drugs are used. There are drugs everywhere they go, there
is not one single place, that anyone could go to and there is not many person who is not using drugs
or had drugs in their system. Teens between the age of fifteen to eighteen have problems withdrug
addiction; teens who start to use drugs at a young age tend to have a problem with them once they
get older. Eighty percent of the teens who use drugs do not get to graduate high school. The
prevalence of drug use has gone up in the past years due to the people that keep consuming them.
The United States has many programs to help kids with drug abuse because they want the best
for them. Most programs may work, maybe not forever, but temporarily and at least many
teenagers have stopped doing drugs and have rehabilitated themselves. Many teens tend to start
drugs because maybe someone in their family consumes them or the friends they have around
them do. Many times the people they are surrounded with tend to have a big affect on what they
do. Most teenagers go to drugs to help them forget the problems that they have at home. Problems
at home can include their parents fighting, arguing, and eventually splitting up and sometimes
intimacy is not the only problem or the cause of that. Sometimes problems with money can split
people up. Drugs cannot fix any problems going on, it only makes people feel better for a few
hours and after drugs, wear off it can cause a person to be even more depressed than before. Many
high school students use drugs for various reasons. Reasons that high schoolers use drugs are
mainly pointless because they mostly want to fit in with the "cool kids" and that makes some kids
make the wrong choices so that they are not humiliated by the others. In recent years, about 30
percent of seniors in high schools use drugs and about 65 percent of kids in high school that are
sophomores use drugs (Cole 54).
There are many ways to get a hold of drugs; some ways are easy and some ways are hard. Easy ways
to get a hold of drugs are if the drug she want to consume is legal. Some states that have

The Argument Of Arts And Culture
Culture is part of our everyday life; it can be anything from sports, food, clothing or even lifestyle.
On the onset, the support of arts and culture should not be limited to the cultural argument alone, as
one cannot deny that arts and culture is important for the growth of society. Apart from the financial
aspect of a society, arts and culture go a long way towards making the society more holistic.
With this in mind, the author will firstly examine the two different approaches to arts and culture;
namely cultural arguments as opposed to the creative industries or economic arguments. Secondly,
the author will discuss about why arts and culture should live on and be funded, without putting
creative industries approach towards it.

Examples Of Argumentative Essay On Anne Frank

Are people aware of their own good nature, are others aware of their good nature? Anne Frank's
statement, that people are truly good at heart, is true. The current generation and the past generation

everyone cares for something.

living space for the other family. They are willing to give away their own comfort and personal
needs for the Van Daans to have their own privacy. Meanwhile, later on, a woman, Miep, brings
things for the group in the annex, while risking her life to do so. We hear this in one ofAnne Frank's
diary entries. She writes that, "The people from whom Miep got our ration books have been
arrested. So we have had to cut down on food supply," (Goodrich, 497). Miep had been risking her
life to get these ration books, illegally, for the family, and now has to find a way to get more food
for the family while Mr. Kraler, another caretaker of the family, is in the hospital. Miep had
befriended Anne and the family, and was willing to put everything on the line just for them. On

Argumentative Essay On Anxiety Disorder
Anxiety disorders are some of the most prominent mental disorders that people face. Anyone can
have them, young or old. These disorders can be extremely debilitating and exhausting for a person
to live with. Every little thing they do could evoke the symptoms of their anxiety disorders.
Everyday these various symptoms must be overcome for them to enjoy their daily activities.
Throughout the world there are many people who suffer from anxiety disorders, a few of the most
common ones are Generalized Anxiety Disorder, Panic Disorder, and Post–Traumatic Stress

worrying involved is intrusive, disruptive, persistent, and excessive. Melinda Smith, M.A., has

  • 1. Argumentative Essay On Anxiety "Worry never robs tomorrow of its sorrow, it only saps today of its joy." (www.healthy place.com) Many people have trouble accomplishing what they want to do in life because of health issues. A main health issue people suffer from is anxiety. There are different types of anxiety disorders you can have. Each one of them hold you back from doing what you want to succeed in life and may even cause you to make bad choices. Anxiety is losing yourself from reality and being disconnected from the present moment, other people, and yourself. It can keep you from doing things you want to accomplish in life. Achieving your goals is tough enough, but if you suffer from anxiety it becomes even more difficult. I was spending every day worried about how...show more content... After talking about how anxiety can keep you from accomplishing life goals and how its a big health issue, here are the different types of anxiety. Some people can say all they have is anxiety but they all dont have the same disorder. There are many different types you can have. There is generalized anxiety, phobias, social anxiety, obsessive compulsive, and panic disorder. Anxiety – part of the body's natural reaction to stress – can even be helpful at times, making you more alert and ready for action. But anxiety disorders differ from normal feelings of anxiousness. When feelings of fear or nervousness become excessive, difficult to control, or interfere with daily life, it's called an anxiety disorder. (www.everydayhealth.com) . This evidence relates to the types of anxiety because it is telling how anxiety can make you feel and act. Some people may say that anxiety isn't the main cause of people not wanting to accomplish things or why they have bad health issues. They say it could also be depression or how they are living their life outside of the public. That may be the cause but I personally have an anxiety disorder and it is keeping me from doing thing I always talk about doing but of course I never end up doing it because of my disorder. It causes problems with your mind and body Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 2. Argumentative Essay On Creativity The Creativity Epidemic Most would agree that the technological advances today have caused this generation to become crippled in their creativity. The lack of face–to–face communication has severely damaged this generations ability to separate text–speech from formal speeches. Being born in a generation were technology is only at it's peak, it's hard to separate yourself from the tech–savvy world. As stated in the article The Creativity Crisis by Po Bronson and Ashley Merryman the accepted definition of creativity is production of something original and useful, and that's what's reflected in the tests. There is never one right answer. To be creative requires divergent thinking (generating many unique ideas) and then convergent thinking (combining those ideas into the best result). When most think of technology you only see the advances made, the achievements fulfilled and the key factor it plays in our society today, for example as in The Limits to Creativity in Education: Dilemmas for the Educator It argues that the notion of creativity may be value– and culture–specific and that this poses the so–called liberal educator with various dilemmas of principle and pedagogy, which are explored (Anna Craft 1). In other words, technology is a blessing seeing all the doors its opened for us in the short amount of time its been here. But it's also a curse. In retrospect others might argue that technology helps open the door to a child's imagination. As stated in The Pros and Cons of Technology by Amanda Ronan on January 16, 2017; Technology gives children the ability to learn in ways their parents and grandparents never had. Today's learners have immediate access to answers and research. Yet, that immediate access is changing the way students think about work and how they feel emotionally (Amanda Ronan). This significant emotional change is centered around the deprivation on other social outlets. The youth of today's social and educational status is complete centered around where they rank in the chain of technological coherency. Seeing how tablets and computers are replacing textbooks due to everything being encrypted into software anyone that hasn't evolved is sure to be left behind in a stone age of their own. • 3. Age Limit Persuasive Essay Many states have increased the age at which teens can begins to drive. In our society teens wait for their license. In our society parents worry about their children on the road. Age limit should remain the same because one needs to get to their job, one need to get to school, and one is responsible taking care of their own. When students get their first job they need to get around that is why they need their licence. My friend just got her first job and she did not have her licence, so her mom had to take her every day. Some walk to their jobs and others can not walk to their job it is too far. Other need to get to their job to make money to pay for their phone bill. In addition to getting to their jobs, they need to get to school. This Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 4. Argumentative Essay In College As an international student, I needed to take both the TOEFL and SAT in order to apply for universities in the United States. The writing parts of these two tests both involve argumentative essays. However, I had no prior experience of writing argumentative essays. Back in middle school, I was always dealing with narratives, which mainly focus on the experience of people and the development of events. In contrast, argumentative writing is very different. Its way of expression is to speak of truth and to directly express personal perspectives. In order to write good argumentative, I had to learn from the very beginning. Fortunately, my school offered courses on argumentative essay writing. I took part in that course and found it to be the mostly Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 5. Argumentative Essay Quotes Cabute, Jeanette Anne H. BSIE–HE 4A Quotation: 1."Nobody can go back and start a new beginning, but anyone can start today and make a new ending." –Maria Robinson Explanation: Our lives are full of ups and downs. Often we get so caught up with the downs in our lives that we fall into depression. We feel that everything in life is falling apart. You regret the choices you've made in the past and feel that you have failed in life. Understand that you cannot go back in time and undo choices you've made but that you can stop yourself from repeating the past by making smarter decisions so that you can have a better future. Reaction: Yes, our life is full of up and downs. We also cannot change the past, but we can make better things or choices...show more content... If we try new things we're going to make a few mistakes but we are learning from that mistake. If you don't make any mistakes, you're in a rut and not trying anything new. Mistakes are part of our lives, we cannot change it, and we just have to take the risk. Nothing is impossible if we try new things and nothing will lose if you try right. 4."The heart has its reasons which reason knows not." –Blaise Pascal Explanation: The heart, the organ capable of storing love can also reason. Its reasoning makes all the sense in the world to the heart and to the heart's owner when the owner first hears it. It's the reasoning that makes you fall in love at first sight. It's the reasoning that somehow makes it so hard to let somebody go even though you have no logical reason to want that person to stay. Reaction: The quote means that you have to listen to your heart. Just like in love, you just only knew that you love that person but you don't know why. We fall in love in a mutual weirdness and called it love. 5."When love is not madness it is not love." –Pedro CalderГіn de la Barca Explanation: The actual quote is when love is not madness, it is not love, and it is by Pedro Calderon. • 6. Argumentative Essay On Water Pollution In recent times, a popular issue that sparks much controversy amongst the population is Pollution. Since the Industrial Revolution, pollution has been rapidly increasing, whether it be air pollution or soil pollution, the effects are prevalent. From the Great Barrier Reef slowly dying, to the polar ice caps melting to climate change, pollution has been much more noticeable than in prior times. Although, it is clear that pollution is causing great issues for our environment, many fail to acknowledge the issue and or simply overlook the issues, especially if they do not notice how these issues affect them personally. These effects on our environment actually impact the human body and can affect different systems within the body such as the respiratory, reproductive orimmune system. An issue that deserves recognition would be that of the affects of water pollution and access to clean water on the immune system. Water is an essential factor for the survival of human beings. As a matter of fact, life can occur on Earth because of water. Although, waster is an essential to life, there are many in have little to no access to clean water. Water is necessary because it can help nutrients travel within the body as well as filter out the kidneys. If one was to drink polluted water, then they are exposing their body's systems to harmful bacteria that can harm the different systems such as the respiratory, immune and nerve system. • 7. Argument Essay On World Hunger Education is a very powerful weapon, one that isn't available to many however if it were, we could solve many issues within the world. The biggest and most fundamental problem which can be seen globally is, world hunger. The sad reality is that this is an issue and one that not many are talking about. In his article Frederic Seebohm proclaims that the world bank estimates "that there are now one billion absolute poor in the world" (Seebohm 5). He continues to define "absolute poor" as "those whose condition of life is so degraded by disease, illiteracy, malnutrition and squalor as to deny its victims basic human necessities" (4). The fact that there are so many hungry people in the world today is mind–boggling when you think about it. We are well into the 21st century. We now have the ability to communicate instantaneously with people all over the world. The collected knowledge of humanity, is literally at our fingertips via smartphones in our hands. Now some may assume that world hunger is still a grave issue simply because there is not enough food to feed everyone. However recently scientists who have studied world hunger, have found that the world produces more than enough food to feed everyone on the planet. The main cause of worldwide hunger is poverty. As R. C. Pickett mentions the " the world has at present 1.5 billion hectares of arable land that remains uncultivated"(31). The problem isn't that there isn't enough land, the issue remains with the coordination of food production. Millions of people around the world are simply too poor to buy food. They also lack the monetary resources to grow their own food, such as the means to harvest, process, and store food. The interaction of domestic animals within the cropping systems needs to be intensively revaluated. A solution that Pickett suggests includes "governments and businesses interacting to provide a favorable price and availability structure of the necessary inputs for adequate production, and to supply needed economical processing, storage, transport, and utilization systems" (32). His solution is to aim more government intervention as he believes that much more food could be produced at least in certain areas but is not, simply because there is no Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 8. Argumentative Essay On English Class What I am about to do is inform you on how to survive the ferocious English 1302 course to make life a bit easier on you. I mean, you're at the edge of your seat dying with loads of work, starving like a dying child, living off of pennies and the only thing that is keeping you from collapsing is your Starbucks drink that is filled with four shots of espresso, right? Well, by the time you get to the end of this letter, you'll thank me later for it. When you enter your English class, you will come across many assignments. They happen to be your annotated bibliography and your researched argument essay, or in other words RAE. The purpose of the bibliography is to critique sources and gather enough data for you essay. It includes citations, a summary of your topic and personal thoughts of the sources you chose. The RAE is a persuasive essay where you attempt to create an argument that is supported with the information you gathered in your annotated bibliography. In my RAE, I argued that children can recuperate after their parents' separation. Its purpose was to demonstrate that if parents were to come together and realize that ...show more content... I learned that by annotating a certain part of the reading, it helped increase my understanding. Not only that but it helped me not miss a single bit of important information. Writing notes in the margins of the text was really helpful because it was a summary of the entire paragraph and whenever I would look back at my notes, it reminded me of what I read. Also, circling words I didn't know was very accommodating because again, it helped me understand the concept a bit more. Underlining words that seem important to you is a big tip I suggest because you are able to use that information when you are talking about your source. You can expand that information by linking it to another similar source. Therefore, it is important to annotate. It'll take up extra time but it will be worth Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 9. Argumentative Essay On Stress And Depression It's so common for people to conflate stress and anxiety that the two terms are often considered synonyms for one another. Even so, experts say that these are actually not the same thing, and the differences are, perhaps, best enumerated in the panel discussion held at the Enloe Facebook Live event hosted Thursday, "Keep Holiday Stress at Bay." Health professionals unpacked the differences between anxiety, stress and depression. Additionally, new studies suggest that stress is able to reprogram cells and that certain kinds of anxiety can be born of genetic predisposition. Debbie Strukan, an Enloe health professional and nurse manager, hosted a 45–minute talk with Patty Principi, an occupational therapist and also an Enloe health professional. "There's a difference between [anxiety, stress and depression] and we'll break that down in this event," Strukan explained in advance of the event when talking about the discussion topic. Enloe's coordinator of communications and media, Christina Chavira spoke to the fact that this kind of misunderstanding regarding mental health can be remedied with increased awareness, which is what the live event was all about. "Mental health is among the top three health issues for Butte County, according to feedback we gather from the community, publicly available data and inpatient hospital data. Countywide, substance abuse and mental health are a top area of focus. The Facebook live event is one helpful tool in this area because it Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 10. Teenagers are Misunderstood Essay The age that I have chosen to study for this essay is teenagers. The reason for this is because so many remarkable things happen during the teenage years and these things vary from culture to culture. To be a teenager is to be in a time of fluctuation and more often than not in western society, a time of rebellion. There are certain rituals that take place during the teens such as socializing with friends in a place other than school, more responsibilities around the house and less juvenile relationships with members of the opposite sex. Biologically teenagers change dramatically, with girls usually starting their periods and maturing into a phase where their bodies get ready to have children whereas boys develop facial hair, their voices...show more content... After the 1900's reformers, educators, and legislators began to separate teens from adults and children. The legal system created Juvenile courts. State and federal governments provided legislation to state the minimum age requirements for sex, marriage, school attendance, and work. They later changed it for voting, driving, and drinking alcohol. These were often very inconsistent; some legislation further divided teens by gender. Girls, for example, could marry younger than boys, but could not legally consent to sexual activity until later. The dramatic rise in high school attendance was the single most important factor in creating teenage culture. Over one hundred years later, in 2009, teenagers are impossible to avoid. There are more teenagers than ever before and their cultural presence is utterly indisputable. Many sub–cultures exist within this phase such as Chavs, Emo's and Goths. They exist not only as students but as highly regarded consumers, and are also widely looked to as trendsetters in fashion, music, and film. The media has unforgivably preyed on teenagers. With more advertising focused on grabbing the attention of these young people, the competition is so fierce that they resort to highly absurd adverts and slogans to have a chance of having a part this multi–million pound empire. Due to the way that teenage culture has evolved we are now in a state of turmoil where the lines Get more content on HelpWriting.net

Every kid thinks it's cool to play with guns. Gun violence costs billions of dollars. If you do not use your gun, your gun is unnecessary. Parents all over the world demand action to stop having so many kids die each year because of gun accidents."The lives of American children are precious, they matter. Legislators need to stand up and say, regardless of the efforts of the gun lobby to protect their profits, we are going to protect our children," Shannon Watts said. Gun violence is costing us billions of dollars. In America we pay about 12.8 million dollars every day to cover a cost of gun related...show more content... Most people like to use guns for any type of defense or hunting. Hunting is considered a sport, so people buy guns for hunting. In hunting you need a license to own a gun. A lot of people own illegal guns or they don't have a license for a gun some people don't use them for hunting, this is why guns can be very dangerous. Guns should be illegal because kids play with guns and end up shooting themselves. Gun violence can also be very expensive. Parents are also trying to address this issue because every parent loves their child and they shouldn't take the risk of having a gun in the house, it's not protecting anyone it's just causing a bigger problem if kids find a gun in their house. What do you think would happen if a kid found a loaded gun how would you feel if a family member or someone you knew was injured by a loaded gun? I also took a pole in my class to see what people think and everyone but three people said yes. The other three were confused and asked questions. One of the kids asked "Would they be banned all over the world?"asked Aiden Abiuso. My answer is "No because it would only be banned for people who are not doing service". • 12. In order to have a good argumentative essay, there are a few important standards of critical thinking that is needed to be found in the essay such as the clearness, accuracy, importance or relevance, sufficiency, depth, breath and precision that is stated by Nosich. The strength of this argumentative essay is consider weak because it does not capture the interest of the reader and was not persuasive enough; even though from the introduction of the argumentative essay includes full sentences and a good opinion, the argumentative essay is all objective. The introduction includes too much of the emotional appeals, such as when it wrote " Day after day the number of people worshipping this icon has been growing since the birth of this creature. well to many it may seem harmless idol but in my opinion, Mickey Mouse is an 'devil in disguise' influencing the minds of young and old people to adopt the culture of the 'devil' which doesn't blend will with the moral values of society and should be banned". • 13. Argumentative Essay: Why Are Cars So Appealing? Comfortably In First Place What is it about cars that makes them so appealing? Is it the way the metal covers the body, evoking different line structures? Is it the pure speed they are possible of? Whatever it may be, Microsoft and Turn 10 Studios set out over ten years ago to find the answers. Unfortunately for them, the genre (Racing Simulation) was already crowned king by Sony's Gran Turismo franchise. Gran Turismo had created a legacy, a fan base that has lasted several generations of consoles and several iterations of the franchise namesake. Now, with their sixth iteration in the franchise, Turn 10's Forza Motorsport 6 is truly something incredible and worthy of crowning itself king of the genre. In a next–generation console experience, you would expect a Ford to drive much different than a BMW or a Ferrari, but what's even more impressive is the fact they all remain fun, in their own way. A Ford Fiesta ST powering through Daytona 500 is a quirky experience. It's high revving motor meets the challenge alongside other roiled out hot hatchbacks. The speed feels great and the handling feels nimble, that is until you hop into a pricier car. One would expect a M4 to drive much differently than a Fiesta ST, and believe me it does. • 15. Argumentative Essay On Climate Change CLIMATE CHANGE Global Warming, much of what does or does not happen forty years from now rests on our actions or inactions taken between now and then. The crucial question is whether we should pour all our resources into mitigation – reducing our carbon emissions. According to scientists who study the climate there are other environmental problems; "we now face a global crises in land use and agriculture that could undermine the health, security, and sustainability of our civilization". Rather than worry too much about emissions, we should accept the world is going to get warmer anyway and adapt to global warming by building better flood defenses and developing drought resistant crops. We cannot dispute that automobiles, factories, and power plants, displace an unprecedented twenty tons of carbon monoxide – per person – per year. There needs to be a reduction in emissions, yet we cannot focus on this aspect of global warming alone. There are many indicators that climatic change is influencing the frequency and intensity of natural catastrophes. If scientific global climate models are accurate, the present problems will be magnified in the near future. Already scientists have observed that more than 75% of the recent economic losses are caused by natural hazards which can be attributed to wind storms, floods, droughts and other climate related hazards. In the year 2008, the U.S. state of Iowa was on the front pages of newspapers all around the world. Get more content on HelpWriting.net

  • 17. Argumentative Essay About Drug Abuse Drug abuse is bad because it spoils people's lives, increases drug access, and has serious consequences and effects on places the drugs are used. There are drugs everywhere they go, there is not one single place, that anyone could go to and there is not many person who is not using drugs or had drugs in their system. Teens between the age of fifteen to eighteen have problems withdrug addiction; teens who start to use drugs at a young age tend to have a problem with them once they get older. Eighty percent of the teens who use drugs do not get to graduate high school. The prevalence of drug use has gone up in the past years due to the people that keep consuming them. The United States has many programs to help kids with drug abuse because they want the best for them. Most programs may work, maybe not forever, but temporarily and at least many teenagers have stopped doing drugs and have rehabilitated themselves. Many teens tend to start drugs because maybe someone in their family consumes them or the friends they have around them do. Many times the people they are surrounded with tend to have a big affect on what they do. Most teenagers go to drugs to help them forget the problems that they have at home. Problems at home can include their parents fighting, arguing, and eventually splitting up and sometimes intimacy is not the only problem or the cause of that. Sometimes problems with money can split people up. Drugs cannot fix any problems going on, it only makes people feel better for a few hours and after drugs, wear off it can cause a person to be even more depressed than before. Many high school students use drugs for various reasons. Reasons that high schoolers use drugs are mainly pointless because they mostly want to fit in with the "cool kids" and that makes some kids make the wrong choices so that they are not humiliated by the others. In recent years, about 30 percent of seniors in high schools use drugs and about 65 percent of kids in high school that are sophomores use drugs (Cole 54). There are many ways to get a hold of drugs; some ways are easy and some ways are hard. Easy ways to get a hold of drugs are if the drug she want to consume is legal. • 18. The Argument Of Arts And Culture Culture is part of our everyday life; it can be anything from sports, food, clothing or even lifestyle. Culture creates wealth. Broadly defined, our cultural industries generate 13 billion dollars a year. Culture [employs and] adds value; it makes an essential contribution to innovation, marketing and design. It is a badge of our industry. The level of our creativity substantially determines our ability to adapt to new economic imperatives. Anne Frank's statement, that people are truly good at heart, is true. The current generation and the past generation has had its faults, it's troubles and events. The only arrangement," (Goodrich, PDF 707). Instead of making the Van Daans sleep in the main room, the Franks sacrifice their own living space for the other family. They are willing to give away their own comfort and personal needs for the Van Daans to have their own privacy. Meanwhile, later on, a woman, Miep, brings things for the group in the annex, while risking her life to do so. We hear this in one ofAnne Frank's diary entries. She writes that, "The people from whom Miep got our ration books have been arrested. So we have had to cut down on food supply," (Goodrich, 497). Miep had been risking her life to get these ration books, illegally, for the family, and now has to find a way to get more food for the family while Mr. Kraler, another caretaker of the family, is in the hospital. Miep had befriended Anne and the family, and was willing to put everything on the line just for them.
