My Beliefs On Teaching And Learning
My beliefs have influenced my ideologies on teaching and learning positively. I have always been
encouraged by my family and community to attend school and do my best to learn new material.
Though, I do believe that if I were to encounter someone who believed that teaching and learning
were not as important then this would hinder my view on education because I was always taught the
opposite.
I believe that a respectable teacher relates to their student and embraces their student's diverse
cultural backgrounds and become culturally responsive. It is important to learn about each student's
culture and how it affects their learning, self–esteem, and perceptions. With this newfound
knowledge, you can incorporate it into your teaching to increase the student's participation and
engagement. This will create a better student–teacher relationship when they know you care and are
interested in their life.
I personally do not believe we as teachers have the responsibility to change our student's beliefs,
however we have the responsibility of teaching our students about diversity and other cultures.
Teachers need to be aware and accepting of other cultures to successfully teach our students from
different backgrounds.
I have had both positive and negative experiences during my educational journey. I believe that
learning is a huge component to life because we learn new things daily. Learning allows us to grow

Over some time it is clear that people migrated and settled into what we call today Mexico and
Central America. The moral beliefs of this culture were rooted in religion and their society. The

influenced actions and events in history on a monumental scale. Religion has created culture,

If it is the way I strongly feel about something, it has to do with my ethics and the way in which I
was brought up. All the beliefs and values that I have make up the person that I am today. If
another person were to tell me otherwise, that my beliefs are wrong or even force change upon my
beliefs, then I would be assimilated. Everyone's personal beliefs would be more or less the same
and then no individual would be unique anymore. People would lose the ability to think without

Values and beliefs are what every living human being possesses, whether we are conscious about
it or not. They impact how we live through day by day, how we make decisions and interact with
society. We possess these values and beliefs commonly from our parents, friends and others who

One of my core values that I dwell upon because of my church is servitude. My church group

To build responsibility as a child I volunteered to take care of my family dog. Even though she was
the family's pet I took it upon myself to make sure she was properly fed, watered, and walked. My
mother was very proud of my new development as an adolescent. She became very encouraging
and would come up with other special chores around the house that I could be relied upon to
handle. To some children this would seem like a punishment, but both of my parents were so
supportive and persuasive that I looked forward to having the gained accountability. My father
instituted honesty and respect as monuments for responsibility. I of course struggled at times
with taking care of my dog, and handling some of my other chores. But my father always wanted
me to not only be honest with my parents, but also with myself. He stated that a lie would not

First there are those who have monotheistic views. Religions with a monotheistic view believe in
only one God only and believe that he is the only true creator and that the people should obey that
God and forsake all other Gods.
There are also polytheistic religions, these religions believe in more than one God. They believe

Philosophy of Nursing Everyone's values and beliefs about the profession of nursing are all

To treat another person as if he or she were yourself: to do the good things to him you would like
done to you; and to not do the bad things you would not like to done to you. Therefore you would
not steal from him, and you would try to help him if he needed help. Morals are standards of right
and wrong as they relate to behavior (Encarta, 1999).
To answer the question of man's inherent evilness or goodness is to assume that one believes that
man is one or the other. In the article, "Good and Evil, The Nature of the Soul," author Laura
Aversano describes man's relationship with good and evil this way:
The soul stemming from stillness, creates a unified relationship between good and evil at its
essential core and understanding from the way that God intended. As the collective and personal
soul unfolds into various levels, good and evil takes on its own form within the various levels of
understanding. Good and evil become personified from ego levels and spiritual levels and their
forms become integrated into spiritual and human realities simply so that we can learn from them,
become greater human and spiritual beings, and allow them to come back into balance to the highest
degree possible under God without any interference from our human and spiritual attachments and
attainments. Thus, the concepts of good and evil are there for our understanding, as is the soul.
