The next editing update for my music video.

1. Editing Update 3
Day 1
I am still arrangingthe visualsof the songto match withthe lyricsandaddingtransitions,suchas
fade to make the piece runsmoothlyandflow withthe music.
I addeda transition ontothe shotwhere the maincharacter goesthroughthe televisionscreen, as
howit had originallybeen done - itwasn’tobviousthatthe characterhad gone throughthe
televisionscreen.
So I usedan effect called‘Spiral GradientWipe’ thathasa visual of a spiral that allowedme tomove
the action fromone scene to the next.

2. I keptthe settingsthe same as the effectwas performedperfectlyinthe waythatI had envisaged.
I importednewmediathatIhad recordedoverthe weekendasI redidthe livingroomscenes,asmy
currentfootage wasnot to the standard thatI wanted and there wassome bad compositionand
Mise en Scène fromthe lighting. Ialsoshotsome extrascenes forotherplacesinmy musicvideo.

3. Day 2
I have fully arrangedthe livingroomscene whichisa30 secondintroductionbefore the songbegins.
Thishelpssetthe scene andthe narrative tothe audience.
I removedanddeletedthe soundfromthe footage atthe shopwindow asthe songisgoingto
dominate the othersound. Todo this, I rightclickedthe videoandclicked‘Group’and‘Remove
From’. Then I selectedthe soundonthe videoandselected‘Delete’ onthe keyboard.

4. As I have usedPhotoshopforeditingthe tree trunk shot,the size of the image whenitwas imported
intothe videowaswrongas there were blackbars at the side. It didn’tmatchthe restof my video
due to the frame size. I researched videosonYouTube onhow to correct thisand luckilyfounda
videowhichhelpedme withthis problem. Togetrid of the black bars, I selectedthe image onthe
timelineandrightclickedandselected‘Properties’thisbroughtupabox that had checkboxesandI
had to uncheck‘MaintainAspectRatio’andclick‘OK’. The image has now filledthe whole frame so
that itlinksto the restof the video.

5. Afterclicking‘Properties’onthe list(leftpicture),itbroughtupthe checkbox list(rightpicture)
where Ihad to unclick‘MaintainAspectRatio’.

Day 3
The framingfor thisvideo,Ifeltshouldbe focusedmore onthe eye area, soI loadedup VideoEvent
FX andalteredthe controlsof the zoom onthe shot.

6. Thisis the video todate. There are a few gaps inthe video butI will presentthistomyclassfor
feedbacktomorrowtosee whatimprovementsthatIneedtomake.
