Globalization – The rapid movement of goods, services, capital, ideas, music, TV programs,clothing, fast food, etc. There are differing opinions across the world to America's domination of the globalized culture and economy. 3. During the Cold War, it was only critics of American foreign policy that referred to America as an Empire. The Soviet Union and China used this term, but so did many non Marxist writers from Western Europe, the Middle East, and Asia. More contemporary critics of American foreign policy such as Chalmers Johnson, William Blum and Michael Hudson, now echo the earlier anti-imperialists of the Cold War era. The over all argument, is that the Cold War was a result not of Soviet, but United States aggression after WWII. This argument has become increasingly legitimized due to post-Cold War American foreign policy.
