2. Plants
There are 2 groups in the plant kingdom, vascular
and nonvascular. Some vascular plants are
ferns, gymnosperms, and angiosperms. Some
non-vascular plants are java moss, polytrichum
commune, and ptilium crista-castrensis. The
earth has more than 80,000 edible plants. 70,000
plants are used in medicine
3. Animals
The animal kingdom has 2 groups which are vertebrates and invertebrates. Some
vertebrates are sharks, frog, tetrapods, dog, cheetahs, and placodermi. Some
examples of invertebrates are, bed bugs, silkworms, bullet ants, brown recluse
spiders, and mealworms. Here are some facts about animals, Gorillas can catch
human diseases, also almost half of the worldwide pigs are kept in china. The only
mammal that can fly is the bat. Ants dont have lungs nor do they sleep.
4. Bacteria
One of the five kingdoms is bacteria. Bacteria is a group itself. Some types of
Bacteria is proteobacteria, High gc gram+, firmicutes, bacteroidetes, chlamydiae.
Bacteria are single celled microscopic organisms found everywhere in the
environment and on the human body. All the bacteria in our body added up
weighs roughly 4 pounds. The normal work desk has 400 times more than a
bathroom. Sweat is odorless by itself its the bacteria on the armpit that mixes with
it and produces body odor.
5. Fungi
Fungi like bacteria is a group itself. Some examples of fungi are sac fungi,
basidiomycota, zygomycota, hyphomycetes, eumycota, and
neocallimastigomycota. You can remove every bird, the forest will live, but if you
take away all the fungi the trees will die. In the soil of forests the fungal biomass is
90% of the total organismic mass. A thimbleful of soil will have multiple miles of
fungal mycelia. They are usually motionless
6. Protists
Protists are all grouped together like fungi and bacteria. Some examples of
protists are plasmodium falciparum, quartan malaria, hepatozoon canis, and
eimeria tenella. Flagellates use filter feeding to get to their nutritional needs. There
is more than 60,000 protists. Protists live in pretty much any environment that has
water.
