Kongsberg Maritime To Close Km Contros Gmbh

The sale of KM Contros GmbH in Germany from Kongsberg Maritime (KM) to AML Oceanographic Ltd.
(AML) has been stopped. Following a strategic evaluation and prioritization of the KM business in 2019, KM
decided to divest Contros, and a Letter of Intent was signed with a future buyer of the business. This was
announced in October 2019. However, AML and KM have agreed not to pursue the previously announced LOI,
and the sale of Contros will therefore not proceed. Consequently, KM has decided to cease the Contros
operations. Contros is a subdivision of the Sensors & Robotics division in KM, it’s located in Kiel/Hamburg,
Germany. Contros has two primary lines of business: 1) sensors that measure dissolved gases in water, and 2)
platforms and deployment systems for in-situ oceanographic measurement. KM will stand by the commitments
to customers, employees and other stakeholders, and conduct a staged closure of the operation in Contros
during the first half of 2020.

Safety to the power of three: Bosch completes sensor portfolio for automated
driving

Solution Description
Bosch is making long-range lidar sensors production-ready – the first lidar (light detection and ranging) system that is
suitable for automotive use. This laser-based distance measurement technology is indispensable for driving functions at
SAE Levels 3 to 5. The new Bosch sensor will cover both long and close ranges – on highways and in the city. By
exploiting economies of scale, Bosch wants to reduce the price for the sophisticated technology and render it suitable for
the mass market. Only the parallel deployment of three sensor principles ensures that automated driving will offer
maximum safety when it is rolled out. This has been confirmed by Bosch analyses, where developers investigated all use
cases of automated driving functions – from highway assist to fully automated driving in cities. For example, if a
motorcycle approaches an automated vehicle at high speed at a junction, lidar is needed in addition to camera and radar
to ensure the reliable sensing of the two-wheeler. In this instance, radar can struggle to detect the bike’s narrow
silhouette and plastic fairings. Moreover, a camera can always be dazzled by harsh light falling on it. As such, there is a
need for radar, camera, and lidar, with the three technologies complementing each other perfectly and delivering reliable
information in every driving situation.

resolution for jewelry applications. The company’s 3D Sprint® software also includes proprietary print build styles developed specifically for
jewelry, both for thin, delicate geometries, as well as thicker geometries, enable optimized jewelry prints with detail for settings, sharp prongs,
fine mesh and more. Jewelry is designed for productivity, and with a print speed of 16 mm/hr at 30 um layer resolution and projection-based
imaging, Figure 4 Jewelry can print a full platform of rings at up to 4X faster than comparable printing systems. In addition, MicroPoint
ultra-fine tip support structures enable both easy support removal and smoother surface finish, reducing downstream labor costs and production
time by minimizing polishing of support intersection points.

Honeywell Helps Hoteliers Quantify Guest Comfort and Staff Productivity with Upgrades to
INNCOM INNcontrol™ 5

Honeywell is launching substantial upgrades to its cloud-based INNCOM™ INNcontrol™ 5 (IC5) platform including a multi-property
dashboard and new metrics to help hoteliers quantify guest comfort and staff productivity. The update helps hoteliers better identify insights
that can help improve guest experience and develop strategies that drive efficiency. The upgrades allow hoteliers that manage multiple
properties to use IC5’s capabilities and rich data analytics across multiple properties at once to compare performance – all from a single,
user-friendly dashboard. IC5 allows hoteliers to quickly identify underperforming properties and even the root cause of a problem. It’s
optimized for the hotel property and portfolio owners to provide the information that they need. A new IC5 dashboard feature, live
Analytics Service Exchange (ASX) reporting, provides users with a full property breakdown and analysis of historical and real-time
guestroom performance data for each of a hotelier’s properties. This data is then analyzed across five elements to create a unique Guest
Comfort Score ranging from 1-100. These elements include sleep quality, temperature set point, thermostat interaction, comfort alarm and
equipment alarm which are individually weighted based on customer input. To quantify sleep quality for a property, motion sensors help
detect movement, such as tossing and turning or rising from bed throughout the night, within guest rooms to estimate how much guests
were able to sleep or if they make thermostat adjustments. If a room has a low Guest Comfort Score, the hotel manager can inspect the
HVAC system or assess other factors in the room to ensure that future guests enjoy smoother sleep in that room.

them to enhance productivity and provide superior customer experiences. Honeywell Smart Talk allows businesses to be positioned for the
next generation workforce that expects a robust set of communication services. Smart Talk empowers workers in environments such as
stores, hospitals, trucks and distribution centers using mobile devices with voice capabilities to make voice over internet protocol (VoIP)
calls, have push-to-talk conversations, send instant messages to one or a group of colleagues, launch video calls and more. The all-in-one
communication solution gives instant mobile communication capabilities to workers, allowing them to better serve customers on demand,
where they are, providing immediate customer service to better improve profitability. The cloud-based software solution is operating system
and hardware agnostic, supporting Android, iOS and Windows operating systems across mobile and desktop devices from any
manufacturer. Honeywell Smart Talk will come pre-loaded and optimized for select Honeywell Mobility EdgeTM mobile computers with
voice capabilities, including the CT40 and CT60 and will be available for all Honeywell devices that support voice capabilities. Third-party
industry studies have shown that 48% of Millennials use real-time messaging tools for daily work. Connected and collaborative employees
can increase productivity and improve employee and customer satisfaction. Training times for new employees can be reduced by providing
them instant access to all the information across the network of existing employees.

US Defense Department Awards C3.ai $95M Contract Vehicle to Improve
Aircraft Readiness Using AI

C3.ai, a leading enterprise artificial intelligence (AI) software provider for accelerating digital transformation, announced a five-year agreement with
the Defense Innovation Unit (DIU) to deliver C3 Readiness for Aircraft™ an AI-based software application that increases the readiness and
availability of aircraft to accomplish their missions. Predicting an aircraft subsystem’s risk of failure is essential to the U.S. military’s fleet readiness.
By using machine learning algorithms to monitor high-priority subsystems for risk of failure and predict the requirements for parts at air bases and
depots, C3 Readiness for Aircraft shifts the paradigm from reactive to predictive maintenance. C3 Readiness for Aircraft provides a near real time
view of aircraft health for each individual tail number. Using C3 Readiness for Aircraft, maintainers can be made available and prepared for work,
and operations personnel can ensure that the right parts are available at the right time and at the right locations. With this application, organizations
can substantially expand the use of existing aircraft and reduce the cost and time associated with unexpected maintenance. Defense Innovation Unit
(DIU) is the DoD organization based in Silicon Valley charged with accelerating the adoption of innovative commercial technologies into the U.S.
military to strengthen the nation’s security. DIU connects customers with leading technology companies to prototype, transition, and field capabilities
within 36 months. DoD has made it a priority to address readiness in the FY2020 Budget so that forces meet a minimum standard. Applying AI
techniques helps the DoD achieve this objective rapidly in a cost-effective manner. C3.ai has repeatedly demonstrated its capabilities to DIU to
significantly improve readiness for several Air Force units. As a result of a number of successful US Air Force implementations, including the E-3
Sentry (AWACS), C-5 Galaxy, F-16 Fighting Falcon, and F-35 Joint Strike Fighter Lightning II aircraft, and expansion to Army Aviation platforms
such as UH-60 Blackhawk and AH-64 Apache helicopters, DIU sponsored the current up-to-$95M agreement that allows all the Services and other

Farasis Energy Breaks Through the Electric Vehicle Market Thanks to ESI’s
Virtual Prototyping

Chinese-American battery provider, win in recordbreaking time, a call for tenders made by a premium German automotive OEM. Thanks to
ESI’s expertise, the reliability of the virtual prototype of the new Farasis battery model was decisive in a “zero real prototype” procedure,
stipulating the elimination of any physical prototype. The move of the automotive industry toward electrification is seemingly unstoppable.
Manufacturers are announcing aggressive plans for Electric Vehicle (EV) production, and the International Energy Agency says the number of
EVs will grow from 3 to 125 million by 2030. So, it’s no wonder that new players are entering the market, breaking the traditional rules of
product design – new players like lithium-ion battery maker Farasis Energy. Looking to collect wins in this fast-growing market, the team at
Farasis relied on ESI’s expertise to prove to a major German car maker that they were the best supplier – based solely on a virtual prototype.
This collaboration around ESI’s Virtual Performance Solution (VPS) allowed to virtualize and secure the behavior of the battery in vibration or
vehicle crash situations.
Two fundamental elements differentiated ESI’s VPS in this project:
• The reliability of the results, eliminating the need for a real prototype verification, as a result of the consideration of complex physical
phenomenon inside the battery.

GE Announces 1215 MW Onshore Wind Total Wins for the Year in China

With 2019 drawing to a close, GE Renewable Energy has now secured 1215 MW in orders or commitments in the onshore wind sector
in China for 2019. Combined, the turbines from these wind farms will power the equivalent of 85,0000 homes in China. These orders
and commitments include:
• An order for 33 2.7-132 turbines for HECIC’s 100 MW Balagedai II Wind Farm in Inner Mongolia, scheduled for completion in 2020
• An order for 286 2.5-132 turbines for Huaneng’s 715 MW Puyang Phase I and II wind farms in Henan, scheduled for completion in
2020
• An order for 114 2.5-132 turbines for Shenzhen Energy Corporation’s 285 MW Yangzhou and Pizhou wind farms in Jiangsu,
scheduled for completion in 2020
• Public tender award for 46 2.5-132 turbines for Huaneng’s 115 MW Mianchi and Zhenping wind farms in Henan, scheduled for
completion in 2020
These projects will use GE’s 2.5/2.7-132 turbines, which were designed specifically for the unique low-wind-speed needs of the China
wind regime and manufactured by GE in China. The development of these turbines incorporates GE’s long-time expertise in the
industry along with the latest GE technology and represent GE’s commitment to tailor solutions to the markets in which it does
business.

Israel Electric Corporation Awards Second Contract to GE for HA Gas Turbine
Technology

GE announced that it has received another order from Israel Electric Corporation (IEC), the largest generator and supplier of electricity in Israel,
for a second 9HA.01 heavy-duty gas turbine. IEC is using GE’s HA gas turbine technology at its Orot Rabin plant, located in Hadera, Israel, as
part of the conversion of the existing power station from coal to gas generation. GE’s HA is the largest and most efficient gas turbine in the
world and recently reached the milestone of 500,000 operating hours, continuing to be the fastest growing fleet of advanced turbines in the
world. The order for the first unit, which is also the first HA gas turbine in Israel, was announced in 2019. In the latest order, GE will also
provide a steam turbine, generator, heat recovery steam generator and balance of plant equipment—as well as a 15-year multi-year services
agreement. Once operational, the Orot Rabin combined cycle gas turbines are expected to be the largest and most efficient gas-fired power units
in Israel, delivering up to 1,260MW, more than 8% of Israel’s current total power generation capacity. IEC’s modernization project, announced
in 2018, comes as a result of a law passed by the Government of Israel’s Clean Air Law 2011. GE’s 9HA.01 gas turbines are expected to have a
net efficiency rate of more than 61 % using natural gas as the primary fuel and fuel oil as secondary fuel. Each of GE’s 9HA.01 units is expected
to produce 630 megawatts to replace the production from four of the existing coal-fired units. The plant is expected to enter commercial
operation for the first unit in 2022. GE’s HA gas turbine fleet has reached the milestone of 500,000 operating hours, and has secured 101 orders
from 40+ customers across 19 countries. It is available for both 50 and 60 hertz and has been recognized with two world records for powering
the world’s most efficient power plants.

MRC Group chooses GE to help deliver reliable power to Israel

Across a very dynamic energy landscape in Israel, where the electricity sector reform includes the privatization of power stations, the core
of the reform is opening the electricity sector to competition. MRC group, which acquired the Alon Tavor power plant from Israel Electric
Corporation (IEC) last July, announced a new 15-year services agreement with GE (NYSE: GE) as a leading example of this country-wide
energy transformation. The contract covers parts, repairs, and predictive maintenance solutions for GE’s 9FA unit installed at the 375
Megawatt (MW) Combined Cycle unit, located in the Alon Tavor industrial zone, in the northern Israeli city of Afula, helping increase the
long-term availability, reliability, and efficiency of the plant and the electricity it supplies. In addition, the agreement foresees the gas
turbine will be connected to the GE´s Monitoring & Diagnostics (M&D) Center for 24/7 predictive maintenance support. In this center,
based in Atlanta, Georgia, USA, a team of more than 50 M&D engineers analyzes more than 50,000 operational alarms per year, assisting
power plant and industrial operators in enhancing their asset reliability and performance 24/7/365. The contract includes an option for
upgrading the turbine with GE’s Advanced Gas Path technology to improve unit’s availability, heat rate, and output. GE has supported the
development of Israeli’s infrastructure for the last six decades. GE Power Israel is responsible for the maintenance of the power Plants of all
of Israel’s largest power producers, Dorad, Dalia Power Energies, OPC Hadera, the IEC (Eshkol and Tzafit sites), Nesher and Delek
Ashkelon, who jointly represent 60% of the country’s overall power production capacity.

GE to help deliver wind energy to 375,000 homes in Scotland

GE Renewable Energy’s Grid Solutions business has been awarded a multi-million dollar project for the design, supply,
construction and commissioning of onshore and offshore wind substations for the Neart na Gaoithe (NnG) offshore wind farm, 12
miles off the Fife coast in Scotland. The offshore wind farm project is jointly owned by EDF Renewables and ESB. EDF
Renewables is one of the UK’s leading renewable energy companies and ESB is an Irish Energy Company operating across the
electricity market on the island of Ireland, with an established and growing presence in Great Britain. GE is responsible for the
turnkey delivery of all infrastructure within the perimeter, including ground works and civil construction. NnG is expected to be
fully operational in 2023. Wind power is Scotland’s fastest growing renewable energy technology. Some say that the country is in
the midst of a “wind energy revolution.” Figures from Weather Energy show that between January and June of 2019, wind turbines
in Scotland provided enough electricity to power the equivalent of 4.47 million homes—almost twice the entire country’s domestic
power requirements. Neart na Gaoithe (which literally means “Strength of the Wind”) will play a major role in meeting the carbon
emissions reduction targets of both the Scottish and UK governments. The 400/220 kilovolt (kV) onshore wind substation will be
built on a greenfield site. Once NnG is operational, it will offset more than 400,000 tons of CO2 emissions each year and provide
enough electricity to power more than 375,000 Scottish homes.

Honeywell And Lockheed Martin To Provide Critical Components For NASA's
Orion Spacecraft

Honeywell has been awarded a contract by Lockheed Martin to support production of NASA's Orion spacecraft fleet for the upcoming Artemis
missions, which will bring humans back to the moon for the first time since 1972. The contract to supply key components of the Orion crew module
and service module will be managed and performed out of Honeywell's facility in Clearwater, Florida. Work will also be conducted at the company's
facilities in Glendale, Arizona, and Puerto Rico. Honeywell will provide 14 product types for Artemis missions III through V, including both
hardware and software solutions, to support NASA's lunar missions. NASA awarded Lockheed Martin a long-term, multibillion-dollar production
contract for the Orion spacecraft, aimed to meet the space agency's anticipated needs into the 2030s.
Honeywell will supply the following types of technology for the Artemis missions:
• Guidance and Navigation Systems: Key navigation and guidance solutions, including the barometric altimeter, which track the altitude of the Orion
capsule in Earth's atmosphere, as well as the inertial measurement system and GPS receiver, which track the position and movements of the capsule.
• Command Data Handling: Several data-handling products, including the vehicle management computer, which acts as the central computing
platform supporting flight and vehicle control, as well as spacecraft communication functions.
• Displays and Controls: Three display units and struts, seven control panels, and two hand controllers used inside the spacecraft to help astronauts in
the Orion capsule monitor and control the vehicle.
• Core Flight Software: Includes the integrated modular avionics software, a key system responsible for supporting maintenance functions sharing
flight data information.

3D Systems and CollPlant Biotechnologies Join Forces to Accelerate Breakthroughs
in Regenerative Medicine

3D Systems and CollPlant Biotechnologies, announced signing a joint development agreement intended to play a pivotal
role in advancing and accelerating breakthroughs in the biomedical industry. The collaboration brings together two
industry pioneers--3D Systems, renowned for its 3D printing technologies and healthcare expertise; and CollPlant, the
developer of proprietary recombinant human collagen (rhCollagen) BioInk technology currently used for 3D bioprinting
of tissues and organs. The two companies plan to jointly develop tissue and scaffold bioprinting processes for third party
collaborators. 3D Systems and CollPlant recognized an unmet market need for a comprehensive solution to produce
tissues and scaffolds for regenerative medicine applications. The companies intend to create integrated 3D bioprinting
solutions comprised of state-of-the-art 3D bioprinters and BioInks to produce tissues and scaffolds. In accordance with
the collaboration agreement, both companies may use a combination of 3D Systems’ printers, CollPlant’s BioInks, and
new formulations of rhCollagen-based BioInks jointly developed by the companies, for their own products, as well as
for deployments with third parties.

announced that it has joined the PTC Partner Network. In addition, the Impinj connector for PTC’s ThingWorx® Industrial Internet of
Things (IIoT) platform has been validated as ThingWorx Ready™ by PTC. The Impinj Client for ThingWorx allows customers to
easily integrate RAIN RFID data from the Impinj platform, a comprehensive RAIN RFID platform spanning endpoints, connectivity,
and software, directly into ThingWorx. With this integration, companies can view and manage data coming from their assets, enabling
streamlined inventory and asset management across facilities. Technology companies participating in PTC’s ThingWorx Ready
program may validate their products’ interoperability with ThingWorx and make those products available on the PTC Marketplace, a
digital space where PTC’s partners and customers can access and promote IIoT tools, market-ready solutions, and innovative
