This document discusses electrical engineering education and career paths. It notes that while an associate's degree can allow someone to work as an engineer, a bachelor's degree leads to higher starting pay that is 10% more. Schools like WVU and WV Tech offer ABET-accredited engineering degrees, and an ABET-accredited degree allows one to become a licensed professional engineer. With a bachelor's degree, expected starting salary ranges from $60,000 to $65,000 per year depending on location. Internships and co-ops provide valuable on-the-job training and opportunities to get hired full-time. Potential employers include government agencies, steel companies, utilities, and some may start their own firm. Dut
