This document summarizes a study on the effectiveness of various ion leaching techniques on geological samples. The study compared boiling water treatment, calcination and boiling water treatment, and acid treatment on their ability to leach ions like K2O, V2O5, and TiO2 from sediment and mica schist samples. Results showed that calcination and boiling water treatment was most effective at leaching K2O, while acid treatment worked best for leaching V2O5 and TiO2. Some major and trace ions like Mg, Cu, Zn, and Sr were also more effectively leached through certain treatments.
