8. It is situated in the Himalayan Highlands of AJ&K, on
the right bank of the Neelum river and lies 35 km
away from Muzaffarabad and 165 km from
Islamabad.
MNP is bounded by Kaghan Valley, Khyber
Pakhtunkhwa from its western side whereas, 30 main
Villages are present on its the southern periphery
Human population is about 52,000 living in 30
villages around the park boundaries.
9. • This is the most unique and different park
because in this park there are beautiful birds
called Tragopan Pheasants.
• These pheasants are found in western
countries.
• People used to visit this park for hunting.
• The main purpose of this park is to set up a
healthy environment to save the resources
and trees for the development of the country
10. • Machiara National Park is a home for many
animals like leopards, wolves, monkeys, lions
and tigers.
• Snow leopards are also found there and they
live on the Snow Mountains.
• The monkeys used to live and hide themselves
in the bushes of the trees. Monkeys are
sometimes friendly but they are the most
irritating creature in the world

species in MNP which contains Taxol a chemical which
