The document discusses the Future(s) project which aims to redesign education models for the modern world. It notes that traditional education systems developed for the industrial era no longer meet current needs. The project seeks to encourage self-directed, team-based, and globally networked learning using internet technologies. It outlines a participatory action research approach involving international experts and local groups to design, test, and share new education pilots from 2008-2010. The goal is more student and community input to develop new paradigms for education on a global scale.
