2. Celsius and Fahrenheit are two different scales for measuring temperature. To convert a temperature from one to the other you must memorize two formulas and be able to pick the correct formula. If you know degrees Fahrenheit, use this formula: °F – 32 = °C 1.8 If you know degrees Celsius, use this formula: 1.8 (°C) + 32 = °F
3. FAHRENHEIT TO CELSIUS Enter your known number for °F. Then solve. Example: Convert the boiling point of water from °F into °C: Solution: Water boils at 212 °F, so: 212°F – 32 = 100°C 1.8 212-32= 180. 180 ÷ 1.8 = 100.
4. Answer: The answer is 100°C is the boiling point of water on the Celsius scale

10. Celsius to Fahrenheit If you know the °C, you can convert this into °F using this formula: 1.8 (°C) + 32 = °F Try using your answers above in degrees Celsius and use the formula to get back to the degrees Fahrenheit (ie – convert boiling point, normal body temperature, and freezing point in Celsius back into degrees Fahrenheit).
