customers’ habits. Customers continue to sign like they always did.
Signing the original electronic document saves the insurance company labor, faxing,
mailing and archiving costs. Lost documents or missing signatures are a thing of the
past, as - after the signing process ends - all documents are immediately available for
archiving or further processing.
In addition to the laptops, which were already in use, the
company equipped each agent with a Wacom STU-500 signature
tablet that is easily connected to the laptop by using a USB slot.
Once the insurance agent has finished to fill in all the insurance
policy’s terms, he can easily capture the handwritten signatures.
With just one-click the SIGNificant Client starts and presents the
document for signing. Immediately after signing on the STU-500
the data of the signature are stored encrypted in the document. In addition, a digital
signature is added, which allows to detect any manipulation of the document after
signing. The singed document is stored on the local hard disk for further processing.
