Bryson City
TRAVEL COST We are traveling from Belmont N.C. to Bryson City. It took us 170mi. It would cost $34.00 for gas.
Native Americans called Cherokee took over Bryson city from the 17 century to the 18 century .
In  the 20th century they started doing  6 passenger train rides that went 4 times a day. Bryson city had larger  trains  that took  goods from Ashville to Murphy. The fastest train in the 19 century was the cannon ball also known as the iron horse.  One of the main reasons people go to Bryson city is because they want to ride on the train. Now it is used for fun.  People from all over North Carolina  come to take a joy ride on the train through the Smokey Mountains.
It cost $178.00 for 2 people to ride on the train. Food cost $40.00 for  4 days of eating at the iron skillet. It  cost $80.00 to stay at Bryson city log cabins. Gas cost $34.00 to go from Belmont to Bryson city. The total cost was $332.00.
