2. Cheetah
The cheetah is the world's
fastest land mammal. A
cheetah can go from 0 to 60
miles (96 kilometers) an hour
in only three seconds. Female
cheetahs often have a litter of
three cubs and live with them
for one and a half to two years.
Young cubs spend their first
year learning from their mother
and practicing hunting
techniques with playful games.
Male cheetahs live alone or in
small groups.
3. Elephant
African elephants are the
largest land animals on Earth.
Elephant ears radiate heat to
help keep these large animals
cool, but sometimes the
African heat is too much.
Elephants are fond of water
and enjoy showering by
sucking water into their trunks
and spraying it all over
themselves. Afterwards, they
often spray their skin with a
dust. An elephant's trunk is
actually a long nose used for
smelling, breathing, drinking,
and also for grabbing things.
