3. Project Goals
 Students collect data to document changes in their
ecosystem over the school year.
 Students will analyze data and make comparisons of
the different school biomes.
 Guided student inquiry will lead to a deeper
understanding of the different ecosystems.
 Student data collection and analysis will lead to
“What if………then why” questions.

5. Process/Project Plan
 Students collect data according to teachers’ schedule

 Each school will have a page for discussion item
 Images/Sounds uploaded to Google Earth
 Schools will each have own folder
 When folder updates are ready .kmz files uploaded to
wiki
 Project folder will be created out of all .kmz files to
share data

6. Expected Timeline
 Students will start taking data ASAP
 Teachers will guide students
 Individual schools will set up own sampling schedules
 Teachers will develop culminating projects using data
at year‐end
