1. Who did you work with and how did you manage the
tasks between you?
I worked with kanwal, jojor and leutrim,
we all slit up the tasks in the group
fairly as everyone had an important
role.
We did have a few problems due to the
problem that we lost our so we ended
up not having a last scene .
2. How did you plan your sequence? What process did you use?
• We planned our sequence on our storyboard which
gave us a clear layout of what we wanted our
sequence to be like
• Although we didn’t get to see our storyboard when
we were filming which caused problems .
• So therefore we had to compromise to try and get
the our sequence as close as possible to what we
had on our storyboard .
3. What technology did you use to complete the task, and
how did you use it?
• The main parts of technology that we used was an
HD cannon camera, the battery, tape and tripod.
• The programme that we use to edit the film was
called the premiere programme ,which made it much
easier for me.
• I mainly learnt the different shots used in filming
,such as big close up ,long shot ,two shot ,over the
shoulder the shot etc.
4. What factors did you have to take into account when
planning, shooting and editing?
• We made sure that when we were planning
we thought of all the shots that could be
applicable for this sequence.
• When shooting we made sure that we used all
the appropriate shots and also we positioned
the white board clearly.
• When editing we took our time and made
sure that every important scene was added to
the film
5. How successful was your sequence? Please identify what worked
well, and with hindsight, what would you improve/do
differently?
• The sequence was very successful as we had
various of really unique shots in the sequence.
• We also worked In quite a fast rate and tried
not to waste time .
• Also we could have worked at a bit more of a
slower rate so we would have noticed that we
missed a scene.
6. What have you learnt from completing the task? Discuss time
management skills, group work skills, organisational skills and
technical skills of production
• I learnt the different skills that are used to
make a film
• We all worked as a group to make a great film.
• During our filming luitrim took charge to make
sure we were focused at all time and was
always working hard .
7. Post production - What did you learn about the
editing process?
• I learnt how to cut out scenes and also put
together the important scenes in the film.
• When editing I made sure I didn’t waste too
much time on it
• I mad sure that the scenes didn’t drag on too
long also I could have improved on my editing
skills which would have speeded up things.

I worked with kanwal, jojor and leutrim, we all managed to slit the tasks up fairly as leutrim was behind the camera and the two main actors were jojor and kanwal. We didn’t really have many issues in the group as we all worked as a team to produce a great film, although we did have a major problem with our story board as it was misplaced and we had to improvise how we wanted our movie to be like. Our strength in this group was that we worked hard as a group to come up with a great idea for a short film without a storyboard, although our weakness was that we forgot to add a scene at the end with our character kamwal walking back out the room .Next time we would have made sure we kept our story board safe so we wouldn’t have forgot the last scene.
We planned our sequence very carefully to therefore give us really unique way to present our sequence ,as we did has a very detailed storyboard that we had planned with all the shots we would have been interested to have in our film. This then gave us a clear layout of what we were going to be filming on the day .On the day of filming we did unfortunately misplace our storyboard , had to try and remember everything our story board consisted of.Luckly we did just that and had some great shots in our sequence that brought together a great short film, although we did manage to forget to add to last scene.
We used the cannon HD cameras to record our film, I learnt main things before using this camera before the process of the making of our film .Such as we couldn’t move the camera if its still on the tripod as camera might not be firmly positioned on the tripod , also we have to adjust the sprit point at the bottom of the camera so we can make sure the camera is focused right. We also learnt how the tape and battery should be put in without actually breaking the camera, also we learnt about the different shots that could have been used in our film. Which was big close up, close up, medium close up ,medium shot, medium long shot ,very long shot , two shot , over the shoulder shot , interviewee framed on one side shot ,moving subject shot ,high angle shot , low angle shot and tilted frame . I also learnt about how we cold get mixed up with some shots that are very similar such a big close and close ,so an big close up will cut of the subjects forehead and chin ,but a close up will just have the subjects whole face in the frame. I also went on to learning how to edit my film which took place on premiere programme ,which I got a great opportunity to practice how to edit different videos ,using premiere made it so much easier for me to learn how to edit my videos.
When I was planning I had to think about the shots that would be applicable for this sort of sequence ,so as a group we came up with various shots that could be appropriate for the sequence. After getting all our ideas together we put it together to make a storyboard which we planned to use to help us .When shooting we tried to make sure we used a variety of shots that we have been taught in class and incorporate it into our film ,which would give the film a great look to it.When shooting I made sure I positioned the white board in the right place to make it clear when I was editing the film .Also we made sure that the characters was placed in the centre of the camera using the grid method that we were taught. When editing we made sure we took our time to make sure we had al the important scenes needed in the film and make sure the film was running smoothly .
The sequence was very successful as is portrayed various of shots that we have learnt during the process of this camera workshop ,such as big close ,long shot ,pan, full shot two shot ,over the shoulder shot moving subject shot and etc.. This made our sequence much more interesting and unique to watch, we also worked well as a group to get our filming working fast and tried to not waste any time. Looking back at how we prepared for the sequence ,we could have been more careful as we forgot the one of our scenes at the end which was a very vital part .We could have also worked more slowly on the day as we seemed to rush it through and could have remembered to the all the scenes need for the film .
From completing this task I have learnt about the different form of shots in media and made me more aware of how film as I learnt how to position the camera in the right place to get great angles of the characters when filming. I also learnt how to use a camera properly to get my shot in a correct position ,we also learnt how to work as a team to achieve a great sequence .Also we managed to organise all our scenes on the in order on the storyboard to help us know what order we needed to film our scenes. Moreover we all worked hard together ,although luitrim was the one behind the camera and took a bit more power to tell everyone to get everyone in place and make sure everything was well organised .
In the editing process I learnt how to cut out scenes that were not needed and also put together the most important parts to make a great film ,when editing the video I had to look closely at the scenes that needed to be put together or cut out ,also I had to be careful not to delete important scenes. When editing I made sure that I looked closely to not make mistakes but I also made sure that I didn’t waste too much time .When I was editing I didn’t use so much time editing which was a great thing also I made sure each scene wasn’t too long. Although I could have improved on some of my editing skills on the premiere programme ,which could have speeded up my editing.
