8. Process Week Task 1- 20/9 Form Teams and acquaint students with the basics of navigating around the web site. Discuss with the students the need for each team member to begin getting ideas for the design of the bridge their team will build. Write down the features, pros and cons for each bridge structure. Hold a team meeting to share the information they have found. Each student is to take turns writing this information down in their book. 2- 11/10 Engineer guest speaker to guide students through the principles of bridge construction. Take notes to assist you when designing and building your bridge. 3- 1/11 Groups decide on a bridge structure and begin designing. Make sure the pasta and glue used will come to a total weight of no more than 250grams. The bridge must span 500mm measured between supports and is to be no wider than 100mm. 4- 8/11 To stay on time, your group should begin building this session. Designs must be complete and groups are to begin constructing their bridge. Pasta and hot glue guns will be available to each group. 5- 15/11 Continue building. When building, try to build several parts of the bridge at the same time so that effort is maximized. 6- 22/11 Bridge inspection should be ordered today since this is the day proceeding the final day of building. 7- 29/11 Today is the final day of building.
