3. “If you were 100X worse than you are,
your sins would be no match for His mercy”
- Tim Keller
4. 1. JUST BELIEVE - DON’T LOOK FOR SIGNS!
Matthew 12:38-41 (NIV)
Then some of the Pharisees and teachers of the law said to
Him, "Teacher, we want to see a miraculous sign from you." 39
He answered, "A wicked and adulterous generation asks for a
miraculous sign! But none will be given it except the sign of
the prophet Jonah. 40 For as Jonah was three days and three
nights in the belly of a huge fish, so the Son of Man will be
three days and three nights in the heart of the earth. 41 The men
of Nineveh will stand up at the judgment with this generation
and condemn it; for they repented at the preaching of Jonah,
and now one greater than Jonah is here.
5. 2. LOVE IS SELF-SACRIFICE
Mark 4:35-41 (NIV)
That day when evening came, He said to His disciples, "Let us go
over to the other side." 36 Leaving the crowd behind, they took Him
along, just as He was, in the boat. There were also other boats with
Him. 37 A furious squall came up, and the waves broke over the boat,
so that it was nearly swamped. 38 Jesus was in the stern, sleeping on
a cushion. The disciples woke Him and said to Him, "Teacher, don't
you care if we drown?" 39 He got up, rebuked the wind and said to
the waves, "Quiet! Be still!" Then the wind died down and it was
completely calm. 40 He said to His disciples, "Why are you so afraid?
Do you still have no faith?" 41 They were terrified and asked each
other, "Who is this? Even the wind and the waves obey Him!"
7. MARRIAGE REMINDERS
It takes both spouses to say, “my self-centeredness is the
main problem in my marriage’’ to have a great marriage.
The real way to know how much you love somebody is how
much you are willing to give.
Marriage does not so much bring you into confrontation with
your spouse as confront you with yourself.

YOU

Whoever finds his life will lose it, and
whoever loses his life for my sake will
find it.
11. Jonah 2:9 (NIV)
2:9 But I, with a song of thanksgiving, will sacrifice to you.
What I have vowed I will make good. Salvation comes from
the LORD."
12. 5. WHAT MAKES YOU CRY?
Luke 19:41-42 (NIV)
As He approached Jerusalem and saw the city, He wept over
it and said, "If you, even you, had only known on this day
what would bring you peace - but now it is hidden from your
eyes.”
Luke 13:34 (NIV)
"O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, you who kill the prophets and
stone those sent to you, how often I have longed to gather
your children together, as a hen gathers her chicks under
her wings, but you were not willing!
13. “Jesus is the prophet Jonah should have been.
Jonah went outside the city hoping to witness
its condemnation, but Jesus Christ went
outside the city to die on a cross to accomplish
its salvation”
