problems that simply weren't available before.

                 Bill Gates Company Logo

 he believed that today's paperwork
  would be replaced by more
  efficient digital processes.

 in the future people at work would
use computers every day for most
                                      of their jobs.
Predictions in The Book
Business @ the Speed of Thought

He predicted …

 that most information
  would start arriving in
  digital form. As bills,

and TVs would soon be digital
                                      and other new machines
                                      would appear in the home
and be connected to the Web.
Predictions in The Book

 in the digital age, you would need
to become familiar enough with the
Internet to be able to imagine what
  the Web lifestyle will mean.

 some companies would use the
                                       Internet to interact with their
                                       customers in ways that hadn't
                                       been possible before.
Predictions in The Book
Business @ the Speed of Thought

He imagined…

 development of intelligent,
  interactive TV would come as
  television moves to digital
  technology.

                                     computers that "see, listen,
                                      and learn," and creating
                                      software to power the new
                                      personal companion
                                      computers.
Predictions in The Book
Business @ the Speed of Thought

He concluded…

 PCs would be the primary tools for working
and communicating in the digital age. The
PC and the Internet would change one
thing completely: they would provide every
student in every school and community
with information and ways of working that,
before now, were not available even to
  students at the best schools.
