Who they are
Saudi Equestrian was created to develop the Saudi National Equestrian Team
into an effective team for the purpose of competing successfully on the world
stage now and in the future.

Turquoise Credentials 2011
© Turquoise 2011
The problem
Although the country is renowned across the world for its horsemanship
skills and its Equestrian Team has been enjoying many successes nationally
and internationally, the sport has not been on the radar of the Saudi Arabian
public. We were asked to develop a brand that would give the Equestrian Team
a presence, engage with the Saudi population and help to instigate pride
and support.

Saudi Television Network is the state owned broadcaster comprising of nine
networked channels.

Turquoise Credentials 2011
© Turquoise 2011
The problem
STV had lost its place as the number 1 network for Saudi Arabians due to
the explosion of channels in the Middle East and the increased competition.
STV needed to re-establish itself as the television Network of choice for the
Saudi national and reflect the growing confidence of a nation developing
fast into a major global financial superpower.

Who they are
Saudi Telecom Company (STC) is Saudi Arabia’s national telecommunications
provider. Covering 98% of the country, and with over 12 million subscribers, STC
is not only the 4th largest company in Saudi Arabia but also one of the world’s
most prominent telecoms players. With an aggressive expansion strategy into
new markets STC is arguably one of the most exciting communications brands
in the world.

Turquoise Credentials 2011
© Turquoise 2011
The problem
STC had big plans for its rebrand. Not only did they want to reposition
themselves in the domestic market, through the proliferation of its service
offering and a focus on a younger demographic, but it was also essential that
a robust brand was created to help establish themselves as a multi play
operator on a global level.

Who they are
Dubai Customs is the first and oldest governmental company in the UAE with
a remit to facilitate free trade and help secure the integrity of Dubai’s borders.
It plays a pivotal role in border protection, fair trade practices, administration
and revenue collection.

Turquoise Credentials 2011
© Turquoise 2011
The problem
Dubai Customs approached us with a brief to re-position its established yet
rather static brand. What it was looking for was an identity that expressed the
organisation’s forward thinking attitude and one that also showed that it was
a major collaborator with the Government in promoting progress in Dubai.

Who they are
Furusiyya are responsible for creating platforms, such as exhibitions and
published books, to celebrate the Arabian equestrian heritage. They also keep
the heritage alive by collaborating with artists such as musicians, plus jewellery
and fashion designers who create modern works inspired by ancient art and
artifacts. Their aim is to bring this art and the artifacts into the modern day,
to take centuries of tradition and recreate it in more contemporary forms.

Turquoise Credentials 2011
© Turquoise 2011
The problem
The previous Furusiyya brand did not reinforce the companies proposition as
‘Curators of the equestrian heritage of Arabia’. A logotype existed that could
not be changed, but was required refined to meet the technical requirements
of print. We were tasked with creating a visual language for the brand that
would utilise extreme crops to hero the ancient artifacts.

Covering 98% of the country, and with over 12 million subscribers, STC is not only the 4th largest company in Saudi Arabia but also one of the world’s most prominent telecoms players. With an aggressive expansion strategy into new markets STC is arguably one of the most exciting communications brands in the world. Turquoise Credentials 2011 © Turquoise 2011
  • 47. The problem STC had big plans for its rebrand. Not only did they want to reposition themselves in the domestic market, through the proliferation of its service offering and a focus on a younger demographic, but it was also essential that a robust brand was created to help establish themselves as a multi play operator on a global level. • 62. Who they are Furusiyya are responsible for creating platforms, such as exhibitions and published books, to celebrate the Arabian equestrian heritage. They also keep the heritage alive by collaborating with artists such as musicians, plus jewellery and fashion designers who create modern works inspired by ancient art and artifacts. Their aim is to bring this art and the artifacts into the modern day, to take centuries of tradition and recreate it in more contemporary forms. Turquoise Credentials 2011 © Turquoise 2011
  • 63. The problem The previous Furusiyya brand did not reinforce the companies proposition as ‘Curators of the equestrian heritage of Arabia’. A logotype existed that could not be changed, but was required refined to meet the technical requirements of print. We were tasked with creating a visual language for the brand that would utilise extreme crops to hero the ancient artifacts. Turquoise Credentials 2011 © Turquoise 2011
