Go MAD Background

Go MAD Thinking was formed in 1997 following research commissioned to understand what
people naturally do when making a difference. Our conclusions were what we now know as
the seven 7 key principles and 11 critical links that form our Solution Focused Thinking
Frameworks (on next slide)

Since 1997 we have worked with many organisations across a wide range of sectors across
over 40 countries. Our focus is to apply our thinking methodology to take different actions to
improve tangible results, in essence Make A Difference.

Our unique methodology enables us to work in any organisation. Our powerful and engaging
approach is achieved through combining the Go MAD tools and techniques with internal
expertise. We take current business issues, challenges and opportunities and develop the
relevant skills, tools and techniques to identify solutions and generate a plan for execution.

A recent programme for a customer service division of a major financial services organisation,
provided them with Go MAD knowledge and tools to tackle key business issues such as call
volumes, levels of post, control processes and reduction of costs. The Go MAD coaching
methodology was used to influence the wider business including Regulatory, IT and other
colleagues across a business of 4,500 people. The power of the Go MAD toolkit and common
language enabled them to effectively collaborate and engage key stakeholders to resolve
these challenges and realise measurable differences exceeding £5million in just nine months.
