In the spirit of ideas worth spreading,
TED has created a program called
TEDx.
TEDx is a program of local, self-
organized events that bring people
together to share a TED-like experience.
Our event is called TEDxMadrid, where
x=independently organized TED event.
At our TEDxMadrid event, TEDTalks
video and live speakers will combine to
spark deep discussion and connection
in a small group.
The TED Conference provides general
guidance for the TEDx program, but
individual TEDx events, including ours,
are self-organized.

3. the concept
The TED experience is again coming to Madrid. TED stands for Technology,
Entertainment, Design – three areas that are collectively shaping our future. The
fascinating and passionate TEDTalks have reached millions through ted.com, I’m always willing to try new
things, even if they fail, and
enlightening viewers with their powerful ideas.
On September 4, 2010, TEDxMadrid: Ten Years From Now will again
bring the experience to the Madrid community. This local, self-organized event
will create a new platform for the Madrid’s sharpest thinkers and visionaries to then learn from them.

We are creating a memorable event to be held at The Hub in the center of
Madrid. This raw space will be the perfect vehicle to experience a day of
inspiration. All of the TEDxTalks will be available on a special TEDx YouTube
channel after the event. This channel hosts thousands of videos which are
downloaded from hundred of TEDx events worldwide, a global phenomenon.
