  • 3. Before  entering  the  classroom…   •  Arrive  on  ?me  and  line  up   quietly  outside,  next  to  the   wall   •  Bring  your  required   equipment  every  @me   •  NO  food  or  drinks  are   allowed  in  class   •  NO  mobile  phones,  iPod  or   mp3  players,  earphones,   sprays  or  deodorants  are   allowed  in  class   •  Wear  closed  in  shoes  and   ?e  your  hair  back  for  lab  
  • 4. During  class…   •  Learning  equipment  should   be  out  and  ready   •  Laptops  should  be  closed  if   not  being  used  for   classwork   •  Listen  and  be  quiet  when   someone  is  speaking   •  Put  your  hand  up  before   speaking,  answering   ques@ons  or  asking  for  help   •  Stay  in  your  seat  unless   asked  otherwise   •  Work  at  low  noise  levels

During  lab…   SAME  as  during  class  with   ADDITIONAL  rules  for  SAFETY:   •  Take  care  when  using  the   equipment   •  Stop  what  you  are  doing   and  listen  when  the  teacher   gives  you  instruc@ons   •  Always  follow  the  given   instruc?ons  when  using   equipment  and  materials   •  Pack  up  completely  at  the   end  of  the  prac@cal

AGer  class   •  Stay  seated  un@l  you  are   dismissed   •  Complete  your   homework  by  next  lesson   •  If  you  were  absent,  it  is   your  responsibility  to  find   out  what  you  have   missed  and  complete  any   missed  work.   •  If  you  are  absent  for  a   test,  come  prepared  for   the  test  on  the  day  you   return  to  school.

Consequences   •  3  Strikes   Forbidden  items  used  in  class  =  purple   form  (to  the  deputy  principal)   –  You  will  be  given  3  chances   to  follow  the  rules   –  If  you  have  NOT  followed   the  rules  aGer  given  3   chances,  you  will  be  on   deten?on  +  blue  form   –  3  Blue  forms  =  Faculty   monitoring  sheet   –  Consistent  misbehaviour   will  result  in  leNers  home   and  referral  to  HT  
  • 8. Merit  Cer@ficates   •  Merit  cer@ficates  will  be   given  to  students  who   strive  to  learn  and  try  their   best  during  class.   •  3  merit  cer?ficates  =  1   faculty  cer?ficate   •  Once  you  have  3  merit   cer@ficates,  present  them   to  the  teacher   –  Only  the  merit  cer@ficates   from  the  Science  faculty  will   be  collected   •  3  faculty  cer?ficates  =  1   achievement  award
