2. Open Premiere
When opening
Premiere, you must
open a new project. If
you were returning to
a file however you can
simply click the ‘Open
Project’ icon. Like
Photoshop, it has a
simple layout, thus
making it easy for me
to access the program.
3. Next…
The next screen shows where
the file should be saved.
Under the ‘scratch disk’ drop
box, you must ensure that the
document is saved in all of the
same folders. Also, you must
title your work.
4. Premiere Main Screen
This here is the main screen,
it’s very easy to use, for
example, to import media,
just double click where it says
too. I found the simplicity of
the program very helpful as it
was easy to work around and
access a variety of different
features.
5. Here we see…
Here we see how easy it is to add title into your final
piece, we used this for ours.
Also, below, you can see that your work can be saved
on a variety of different drives, provided the work is
rendered and later exported.
6. Also…
Here you can see how to add a variety of different
effects including changing the audio and video
effects. This was needed to make the piece a
more typical noir trailer.
Below also shows where the media goes to create
the sequence.
7. Visual Effects
Following on from the previous slide, the
adjustments that can be made do
enhance your piece. For example, we
altered the colour correction on our
piece to convey a more neo noir genre
to the trailer.
9. And finally…
Here you can see the program
in practice, with the app fully
functioning it’s very simple
and easy to work your way
around the site. Despite the
tools being new to me, I felt
that I was able to pick up skills
very quickly.
