3. What is your gender?
80% of females completed this survey in
contrast to 20% males this then effects
the reliability of the findings and
therefore cant create my magazine fairly
for both genders but had to take

From this it shows that 50% of people
don’t read/buy magazines which is a huge
disadvantage. Then 33% read rarely and
17% moderately this shows that I need to
find other ways in which to reach out to
my audience for example online editions.
5. What is your age?
All of the people that filled out my
questionnaire were under the age of 17

The most popularized choice of music
genre is pop music followed by hip hop,
alternative and singer/songwriter music.
Therefore I would base my articles and
main features on these genres however I
would still include variety of music to
reach out to a wider audience.

The main articles in which my audience
would like to be featured is chart tables
and gigs which is why I have decided to
create a chart magazine in which has all
the tables and gig events to give the
audience what they are interested in.

Most people said that they don’t buy any
magazines however as it shows here 66%
of people would pay between £1.50/£2
from my results I will take this into
consideration when figuring out the price
in which I should put my magazine in
order to encourage people to buy it.

Weekly Fortnightly Monthly
50% of people said they would read a
weekly addition and 33% would buy
fortnightly followed by 17% buying the
magazine monthly. Even though this is
what the audience wants I will conform to
the professional best selling magazines
and release an addition monthly.

The majority of people were interested in
the colour blue/purple however so that
the colours contrast well I've decided to
also include red and yellow to help
compromise the cover yet stand out also.
11. Would freebees, discounts
and special offers
encourage you to buy the
magazine?
yes

100% of the people said they would be
interested in freebies. Therefore I have
decided to use synergy in a way that I have
decided each time I release an issue it would
include a freebie such as CD, Tickets, Games,
Gadgets; because my main target audience
is are music lovers who are interested in
things such as tickets so this would then help
market my magazine.
