II-7 Demand for imidacloprid in China
As a systemic chloro-nicotinyl insecticide, imidacloprid is mainly used in the control of rice
plant hoppers, and it has played an important part in the agricultural production in China for a
long period.
Thanks to the excellent effect of imidacloprid on many pests such as rice plant hoppers, and its
low price, the consumption of imidacloprid (calculated by AIs) had increased with the CAGR of
