Historical Fiction Adventure Story
• Read Kon-Tiki.
• Begin writing an adventure story of your own. This is a project where you write an
adventure of your own. The setting should be in Europe during the 1400’s through the
1900’s. Think of the settings of the books we’ve read this year.

• The format should resemble Kon-Tiki’s book style with words and graphics. Your
adventure should be typed. You will use Microsoft Accessories PAINT program to draw
your graphics. The adventure story should be placed in a folder with brads and pockets.
The length and depth of your adventure are yours to decide, but an adventure begins,
events happen, and the adventure comes to a logical conclusion.
• Each sentence, paragraph, and page must be edited again and again and again. There
should be no mistakes in grammar, spelling, punctuation, or usage. Complex sentences
should be written throughout your adventure.
• Order of project:
Pick a setting, characters, problem, and resolution.
Write and edit your historical fiction adventure story.
Insert your graphics with PAINT from Microsoft Accessories.
Place adventure in a folder with brads and pockets.
